This stuff really works
Like a lot of people right now, I am suddenly (after 20 years) having to take care of my own nails. I had been wearing acrylics for years (which is worse than gel for what’s underneath) but either way when you take off acrylics or gel, you got a problem. Taking my acrylics off left me with thin, tender nails which were splitting painfully. This stuff is going to get me through. It is extremely easy to apply and creates a tough finish that gives you nails strong enough to grow out. I don’t know because I haven’t got to that point yet but I believe that, while tough, it is not so thick as to prevent your own nails coming back properly. Here are some tips. It says “apply over whole nail”. Do that. The first time I did it I thought it would be enough to just cover the tips that were split. That leaves you with an uneven surface, so yes, the whole nail is best. Don’t leave any time between applying the liquid and dipping into the powder. It dries immediately so do one nail completely at a time. Buff it well for a smooth finish. Don’t worry that you will make it too thin, you won’t. I didn’t buff enough the first time and the finish was rough. Don’t be tempted to “double dip”. I did 2 coats the first time and it was too thick. My nails were paper thin and split to the quick and I thought I would have to do two applications but I didn’t. One is enough, even for nails as damaged as mine. Don’t overpowder. Quick dip and you are done. It’s ready to buff immediately. I didn’t do all my nails, just the split ones and it strengthens without being so thick that they look mismatched.I hope all that helps. This stuff WILL get me to my own nails after 20 years of acrylics. It’s easy and effective. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Split nail repair! Takes a little practice
(Red dotted line outlines the area where the glue/powder has been applied on my nail.)For a few years, I have had a vertical split in one fingernail that I’ve tried fixing with a variety of nail products and supplements. It snagged on clothing and everything else and frequently ripped. It finally occurred to me to try a product like this, and it’s working! There’s a bit of a learning curve, but once you get used to it, it only takes a few seconds to swipe on the glue and *quickly* (that part is important!) lightly dip my nail into the powder. I let it set for a few minutes, buff edges flush with the rest of nail, and go about my day. It’s been a game changer and here’s hoping after a few more applications, the nail will finally be fixed! My biggest tip is make sure you have acetone remover on hand, because if (when, in my case!) you muck it up the first time or two, it’s the only good way to remove the product and start over. I also find layering is a bad idea, so I strip it all off once or twice a week with acetone and apply a fresh coat on a clean nail. If not, it tends to peel or rip off, taking part of my nail with it.

Helpful repair kit
I have a thumbnail that grows with a crack in it from the bottom of the nail bed to the nail tip. I’ve done acrylic nails on it and silk wraps.the acrylic nail looked good, but was painfull to get it off and replace. The silk wraps were better, but few manicurists do those now, plus I only wanted this one done. When Covid hit I grew them all out and started doing my own manicures and pedicures. Still struggled with this one nail though. To add to my misery not only did I have the crack down the middle, but also damaged the side of the nail with another crack, so one verticle crack, plus one horizontal crac on the same nail. Both cracks were on the nail bed itself, so no option to cut the nail any shorter. This kit worked well. Kept the nail together long enough to grow both cracks out so they could be cut off eventually. The coverage is a bit thick looking, but since it’s a thumbnail it doesn’t notice too much after a basecoat and polish. For my situation (which will be ongoing) I found this product well worth it. Recommend.

Easy to use and works great
I love this product! Usually I break a nail and end up cutting them all down and starting the growth process all over. I’m going on vacation and was disappointed when one of my nails broke, I tried the teabag trick and it did work for a few days but then I could feel the weakness of the nail again so I bought his product. I’ve never used anything like this before and was very impressed how simple it is to use. The results are amazing (see picture, you can’t even tell which nail I repaired). I’m very happy to head off on vacation with my nails looking fabulous thanks to this product (as well as my dazzle dry four step nail system that I use faithfully for my natural nails). I highly recommend this nail repair kit!

It’s perfect!
I split my toenail on the fridge door and needed a temporary fix until it grew out enough for me to clip without it being painful. This was the saving grace! It arrived within one day of my injury, instructions were easy, and most importantly, it gave my split nail. A temporary and pain free fix while it healed. 100/10.

Just okay
This product was super easy to use and had very clear instructions. It just didn’t work great for me. I had a straight split down into my nail bed, and the product only held for a day before cracking. I reapplied hoping it would help, but it did the exact same thing. I see that there is a lot of positive reviews so I’m assuming it just depends on the crack that needs fixing.

Works great.
Works great. I applied three layers for a split on the side of my nail three days ago and it’s still strong. I couldn’t get it as smooth as I’d like, but regular nail polish took care of that.

Good, just don't overpay on Amazon.
A great solution for a cracked nail that you don't want to cut. It is easy to apply and lasts 7-11 days without any problems. Just don't buy on Amazon because the price is ridiculous here. You can get this kit in the store for literally a few dollars.
