Great little book
This is an excellent pocket-size book for anyone who is interested in timber-framed buildings. It describes how the buildings have changed through time and regional variations.

Useful primer
We moved into a period timber-framed house this year. The book is a valuable introduction to previously unknown techniques and skills, as well as how to understand how such buildings work. (We also bought the Old House Handbook (SPAB-inspired) which goes into more detail on care and maintenance.)

Architecture Studies
This is a brilliant book, small and concise, and an absolute must for anyone interested in timber framed vernacular architecture in Britain. A visit to the Weald museum will be on my wish list.

great little book
I bought this a couple of months ago - good reference book. My neighbour saw it, was so impressed with it that he asked me to buy him one - he is a carpenter with over 50 years experience.
