LC148101 Gentian Violet, 1% (AQ), 500 mL Volume

i have used gentian violet during ostomy appliance changes for over 20yrs. it is an old school anti-infective topical liquid. the usual 1oz bottles are difficult to find, & rather expensive ($4 - $5). after extensive research, i discovered that the gentian violet used as a staining agent in laboratories is the same as the gentian violet i was using. i have saved over $100 by purchasing a 32oz bottle for $35. i also have enough to last a whole year. caution: if you've never used gentian violet, please be aware that it stains everything it comes into contact with, including porcelain, wood, painted surfaces, skin, & clothes. it also can turn up in unexpected places: i've seen it in my freezer. no idea how it got there, since i'm very careful to thoroughly wash my hands after appliance changes, even though i wear gloves.
