Crappy instructions, as usual.
This is the second of these cheap head units that I've successfully installed. As usual, the instructions are lacking or are poorly worded. It took some finagling to figure out the brackets and OEM camera. It initially sat crooked and the camera would not work. I had to bend the brackets until it sat close enough to squeeze it into the dash. The instructions did not state which yellow cable to plug the camera cable into, so I had to follow the wires. The camera still did not work and the screen displayed, "no signal." With no help from the instructions, I figured out how to select the correct camera. You have to long press the screen when in reverse, from there you can select what camera to use. All in all, I knew I'd have some kind of issues and I'm happyish with the results. You will encounter some bugs, but that's par for the course. Spend $500+ if you want near perfect.

Works as Designed
This fit perfectly in my 2017 Toyota Sienna!I do recommend disconnecting the car battery to avoid what happened to me, blew 7 fuses somehow and it popped on 3 lights and took dealership to find it (none of the associated fuses to the lights etc were blown and so I had given up after checking others thinking something wrong with “lost connection to steering column” error)… that was basically a $300 mistake.Aside from that, I have the XLE. After using the harness in the bus with the most connectors my OEM reverse camera and OEM AUX & USB plugs all work. When I reverse, it does silence the radio and overlays 2 additional grids for reverse that I haven’t figured out how to remove yet. If your camera isn’t automatically found, there’s an option to scroll through with a few second delay to allow it to connect before you pass one that may work.So far I used CarPlay (pictured) with Maps and my Amazon Music App. I am grateful iTunes isn’t automatically loading now either, because I only had one song on that.I have retained my pick up and hang up in my steering wheel, volume is delayed but you can touch screen when it pops up to set the volume faster, the skip forward button for now just starts the song over…(there are directions in the manual to re-program steering buttons on the radio to match the steering wheel, but at least 3 work well enough out of the box). I lose my DVD & CD but those are outdated. I can still pair my tablet and stream videos using speaker with a mount between headrests I bought on Amazon to play videos for passengers (I have not tried to mirror to this stereo screen yet, but it isn’t what I bought it for either).Overall I would recommend it. It is so much of an improvement over the OEM radio.I hope this helps someone. ♥️
