Bought because we were going holiday, worked really well, fish were still alive when we got back 😂

works ok so far if your using outside you will have to cover it as I don't think it's waterproof. the timer switches seem to work ok

Ideally for anyone who doesn't have the option of a friend or family member to pop in and feed the fish while you are away. This Feeder gives peace of mind.I done a test run for 2 weeks before I went away so as to be 100% sure it worked and I wasn't let down. So I would recommend doing that practice run in the weeks prior to any away plans. My practice was done initially over a sheet of paper so I could get the right quantity of fish food to be dispensed. This took a few attempts to ensure there was no overfeeding. My fish were usually fed twice per week so had to adjust measurements to get same quantity spread over every 48hrs because that was longest option on feeder. Played around a bit also (again on paper) with the opening on shutter door to ensure amount scouped and dropped equaled the amount required. Once that was correct I then set the timer to every 48 hours and observed for 2 weeks. Needless to say, the fish were happy out with the new feeding arrangements and have got so used to the little sound when the feeder is rotating that they zoom under it at feed time. It's so cute that I've just left the feeder on the tank permanently - couldn't bare to take away their new 'dinner bell'.I suggest this feeder also for homes where feeding the fish is often a forgotten chore.Happy Fish so very happy customer :)

Have tried a few automatic feeders. This is my favourite by far. Can feed fish for a long time, I needed something to last 4 weeks, this does the job. 30 seconds to set up, easy to fill (don’t use flakes). I use pellets that sink and some the float all mixed in. Easy to adjust the quantity it dispenses. Lowest setting lets only a few bits of food out, so easy to set up not to over feed. Good design. Sturdy. Good value for money.

So, I've bought this product to feed my tank whilst I'm away, it is extremely easy to set up and does seem like a good quality build all round. The drawback is that, as seen with my photos is it dumps all the food.In my photos I've set the opening as small as I can to allow food to fit through the gap, and the amount that has poured out is ridiculous, I'm glad that I've tested this beforehand as now I know that it doesn't work as intended, unless you have a 2000L tank with 300 fish and need a whole lot of food dumped at once.

Works like a charm !

It is good for feeding one variety of food, has 3 settings for time intervals.I use flakes, pellets and some floating food, all of which is of course different weights, the feeder rotates round and releases an amount of food depending on what setting you have it set to. Some heavier food might 'push' lighter flakes out of the way, and sometimes the flakes block other foods. Its ok for a holiday but dont expect this to replace you feeding properly as eventually it will starve certain species!
