Nice paper if you need to paint on it or use markers

These blank books are ideal for anyone wanting to get their thoughts and art into a book format. While my three books arrived packaged by the manufacturer only in a plastic bag, the outside hardcover was not dented or dinged. There was a minor stain on one of the book’s covers, which can easily be made the back cover of the book. It will be covered by the time I finish my artwork. The covers and inside pages can be drawn on with any sort of material, from acrylic paint pens and ink to colored pencils and crayons. These books will suit all ages, from toddlers to a grandma wanting to write a family history. I used a Sakura Pigma Micron ink fine liner to number each page (Sakura pens are sold on Amazon.). The ink was not generally apparent on the following page. It is important to note that there was a shadow where the ink had been on the previous page on the following page. I have to plan each book, so I did not want to draw any more on the pages today. I wish the paper inserted inside the book were slightly thicker to avoid this problem. Overall, these books are in excellent condition and are ready for creative minds to fill their pages.

My 7 y/o grandson is an amazing little budding artist. He likes to draw, paint and create his own stories. He wanted books that he could write his own cartoon adventure series. These were perfect for what he wanted to do. The only thing is, being so young he didn’t think to do a “rough draft” first. So he messed up the cover of the first book because he drew the image forts, then thought up the story afterwards. Needless to say the resulting story ended up being different from what the cover image was. So, I told him to drafted his stories and images in a notebook first, then “final-copy” then yo the books. But these hard cover books are great from personal “self-publish/printing” a single copy.

I should have read the description better

These are really nice, sturdy books. There are 3 in the pack which was perfect for my 3 kids. We used them to make books for grandparents and they loved it. We did not have problems with ink bleeding through and were happy with the thickness of the pages. I can’t wait to get more of these for my 1st grade class.
