The Corrs: Live In London [DVD] [2000]

Andrea Cam?
Anyone who believes The Corrs are not a serious musical outfit will do well to take a look at this DVD. Live in London includes most of their hit singles, a few of their lesser known tracks and some fantastic instrumentals and a selection of covers. All performed with great skill on respective instruments and sung with passion by the beautiful Andrea. The DVD includes a selection of other features including being able to select any member of the Corr quartet to view for the duration of a song. This function is available on 'Radio', 'Breathless' and Fleetwood Mac cover 'Dreams'. There is also a behind the scenes documentary entitled 'Access All Areas' but as is all too frequent with this feature it lacks any real insight. This concert has to be one of the best performances by The Corrs available on DVD, well worth a look whether you're a Corrs fan or not.

the favourite being The Royal Albert Hall and Live at Lansdowne ...
Having been a fan of The Corrs since the beginning I am keen to watch their concert dvd's again, the favourite being The Royal Albert Hall and Live at Lansdowne Road. I bought this only I am irritated by the strange camera shots of slow shots of the Corrs during the concert and the colour changed to colour to black and white. I get they probably wanted to do something different and I enjoy the new tracks of 'Irresistable', 'No More Cry' and others. I would have loved them to do the concert dvd of Borrowed Heaven tour which I saw in Newcastle Arena in 2004 and it was amazing. I do own 'All The Way Home' which features a Borrowed Heaven concert for their fans in Geneva which is amazing too. This DVD is good but I just prefer concerts to have a more 'real feel' vibe and this new layout sort of ruined it for me.

The Corrs at their best
I have been a fan of the Corrs for at least ten years now and think everything they do is amazing. So there is no surprize that I love this DVD!! It is amazing from start to finish with so many great songs providing the main part of this concert. The band are great, the music is great and the singing is great - it's just one big greatness of a concert that includes some of the best songs the corrs have ever released. If you like the corrs then of course you will like this concert, it will have you singing along in no time wishing you were in the audience. It feels like you are there as you get swept up in the moment of the concert.

The Corr family do it very well indeed in this concert!
An attractive family are The Corrs! I am sure that I am not the only guy who reckons that this group of Irish performers are pretty attractive and pretty darned good as well!Yes, Andrea, Sharon and Caroline are very "photogenic", but they can sing (well, mainly Andrea) and play (Sharon and Caroline) with great aplomb. This concert was unexpectedly very good. It kept me entertained throughout, and even features a great extra of various interviews with the family and a smattering of their antics "off stage".What quirk of fate resulted in the three women of this family being so pretty? Even their brother Jim is a presentable chap!Very talented in every regard!

Stunning
For any true fan of music, this is a must. Six excellent musicians, all performing with skill and passion. "Paddy McCarthy" (instrumental) in particular shows that The Corrs are not just another pop group and that they know how to play their instruments. Jim and Caroline demonstrate their versatility, moving around the stage to play different instruments - and sing - and Sharon even manages to play the violin and sing at the same time! Andrea's powerful lead vocals and dexterity on the tin whistle are the icing on the cake. The vocal harmonies from the three sisters can be heard at their best on the "unplugged" songs. There is not a weak song on here and it is well filmed.

Lacklustre performance.
Regardless of the genre of music it is always important for the the artist/s to be animated. This is not the case with this concert. In essence, good music but lacklustre performance.
