For the money awesomeNeck is good, so is bridge.Frets really need level, file but again passableTuners are passable, but a bit sloppyPick ups are a bit microphonic, but passable.I would put fender pups, tuners and upgrade electronics to get a fender bass for about £350Awesome

Seems to have broke during transportation in the same spot as another reviewer.The replacement took two days, but the bass plays great. Was shocked with the quality for the price.Annoying having to ship old one back though.Suggest you open and check condition before gifting to someone.

For the money these are excellent, quite usable out of the box, though a bit of tweaking of the action is easy enough to do and a good set up will improve the playing experience obviously .The sound of these is awesome, maybe I got a lucky one but it sounds way better than a higher spec Squier p bass I compared it with side by side.The bodies are light weight and are nicely contoured, tbh I have used this as a modification platform and I've put a maple neck from another squier bass on it, purely as I prefer maple necks. The fit in the body was perfect so very interchangeable with other squier parts.I'd recommend these highly at this price, either to just use as it is, or as a basis for modifying /customising.Again, whatever pickups they're using in these sound great, certainly in the one I got.

Avoid avoid avoid!!!!!!Bass arrived on time, which was great. What wasn't great - sharp frets ends, dodgy wiring (had to re solder input connection), one slipping machine head, matt finish that looked like it had some kind of oil contamination on it, large scratch near the bridge, small marks all over the body, intonation miles off (easily sorted).To top it off, Amazon won't accept a return, without me paying for return tracked shipping!! Seriously consider that before buying.I like Squier as a brand, but this just seems to be bottom of the barrel crap, and would potentially completely determine anyone looking to take up the instrument i would say.

The bass is beautifully made, with a really nice matte finish, and it sounds great straight from the box to me. Incredible for this price. I use other Squier guitars so I trusted this purchase after reading many reviews. Feel like I’ve bagged a bargain here, very pleased! Highly recommend.

I had a bass years ago and it wasnt no where near as good as this 1 and it cost the same 12 years ago £140Only had to adjust trust rod and intonation a little bitWell worth the £140
