Philips Kitchen Philips Compact Pasta Maker 2-in-1 Accessory, One Size, Gray

I needed other pasta shapes for my Philips Viva Compact Pasta Maker besides the included spaghetti, penne, or fettuccini discs that come with the machine.This kit includes discs for making lasagna, pappardelle, angel hair, and tagliatelle. Upon opening the box, it contained 2 discs (angel hair and tagliatelle), an adapter ring with the lasagna disc core installed, and a separate papparedelle disc core. This made it a set of 4 pasta shaping discs. Also included was a tool that can be used to clean the angel hair disc as its holes can be rather troublesome to clear without it. This was something I did not expect to be included, but glad it was.I am upset with Philips for their misleading photo on the front of the box. It shows 4 complete discs. But on the back of the box at the bottom, it has very small text that says "Only one adapter ring for Lasagna and Pappardelle discs included". Their photograph shows both the lasagna and pappardelle disc cores installed into their own ring adapters. They think the asterisks at the end of the Lasagna and Pappardelle names in a circle they put on the front of the box is sufficient to avoid liability for misrepresentation to a consumer by referring the to the disclosure statement at the bottom back if the box. I'd rather they were more clear by depicting exactly what was included — what you see is what you should get!But consumer marketing complaints aside, these discs work great for me and seem durable. They extend the range of pasta types when used along with the original discs that come with the compact pasta maker. I think Philips should have provided some sort of separate storage for these.If there are any issues with the pasta using these discs (as some users have said), it is usually due to the texture of the dough being not right for the machine. Too moist is not good and so is too try. Make sure your dough is throughly mixed and that while introducing liquid that it is a slow pour versus a faster one. The dough texture should be a crumbly that looks on the dry side but when pinched, it should hold together. Also, the pasta maker’s recipes really were optimized for use with their discs and the machine.

So the lasagna attachment works great. However the angel hair is simply too fine and gets stuck together. This machine can't handle that type of nuance. If you want it, you have to buy them as a duo and you will never use the one. If you make lasagna, it may be worth it. I wish they would allow you to buy them separately.

The compact pasta maker is great. These attachments are great. But you have to be very careful with the lasagna attachment because if the dough isn't the exact right consistently it does not extrude well! I'm going to try again soon hoping I do better next time.

So happy with this attachment! The angel hair is a weekly favorite and the lasagna is amazing as well (just a little more time consuming to assemble). It is easy to clean, and produces a consistently good pasta. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend

I love the Compact Philips Pasta Maker! I purchased these two attachments so I could make ramen and Dumpling wrappers. So far, I have only tried making the ramen but hopefully will try making my own dumpling wrappers soon. My family enjoyed my homemade ramen! Highly recommend purchasing these two if you like Asian food.

I was so pleased with my Philips Mini Pasta maker that I immediately ordered these additional accessories. A bit bummed because they didn't come with the Pasta machine, but happy with my purchase.

One works... The other doesnt. It's worth the papparadelle though. Angel hair, spaghetti, and all other smaller pastas don't work with this machine.... However, penne is awesome. This machine is great for larger sized dies.

I was almost going to return this because I thought there was a part missing. The box image shows 4 complete sets, but you actually get 3 with 1 interchangeable part. Works fine, but misleading.
