I wish I had found such a great book sooner!What a genious idea from the creators who are a small business based in the UK.The book essentially makes communication much easier by using visual cues and interactive cards.It can be helpful for children and adults who have a neurodivergent profile such as ADHD, ADD, Autism (Aspergers), PDA and others, but is can equally be used by neurotypical families to make routine more fun, interactive and predictable. This is a starter book and you can get a myriad of additional layouts and visual prompts from the website of the company - easily accessible with a QR code on the book's cover.This "starter" version has days of the week, plan/ routine for the day, current feelings, sequencing of activities through "now - then" and "now - next - then" prompts, and a huge selection of visual activities to choose from.It can make a huge difference in peaceful two-way communication for parent and child, and offers non-verbal alternatives. From the point of view of tactility, the pages are durable plastic and so are the cards that attach through Velcro. You can re-order and replace them, too.Moreover, the company also noticed that the elderly can benefit from such cards and there are further visuals available to make communication easier with someone who might struggle to speak or suffer from dementia.Honestly, this is so incredibly helpful and should be used at home, on the go and in educational settings.Highly recommended.

Unlike (some) other reviewers, I don't simply copy & paste information from the advert. (I'm sure you really don't need (or want) to read all the description yet again!) I want to try and give you my own personal views of it (good or bad) so you can decide for yourself whether to buy the item or not. (The fact that I've received this product free of charge through Amazon Vine has no influence at all. I always "tell it as it is!")This kind of thing is very often made at home and therefore will never look as nice as professionally created ones like this set. It is a great way of helping young children understand things happening as time passes, and will help reduce any anxiety when trying to communicate.Now, at the current price of £20.00p (with free delivery) I believe this product, (as nice as it is), is certainly not the cheapest option available (DIY) and therefore I can't say it's very good value for the money. However, I *do* still recommend it though, (if you're happy to pay that price for one) as it does exactly what it's designed to do, and will make that job easier too.Note:I have not uploaded any photos as there are some already on here, and mine would not be adding anything new!

Item received in good condition and the book is made very well out of good tough materials.We are using this book with our three year old twin daughters as they are just a little bit slow and lazy with their speech so the hope was that this would just help them with the words and recognising the tasks that they are doing daily such as brushing teeth, going to nursery, taking a bath etc.We have found the book an instant hit and they love picking the well drawn tiles and they like to velcro them in the book.There has been lots of recognition of the tasks in the book to what we do in real life and they now really like completing the book daily. Its well made and simple to use. The illustrations on the tiles are very clear and easy to understand.

The wipe down page texture makes sure that any sticky fingers leaks and spills are easily wiped upThere's things like the date etc which makes for a nice morning routine. The velcro that attaches the cards it a good size so precision isn't necessaryThe layout is good and the now nextOr now next then page works on par with how my son's special needs school presents tasks, it helps to create a routine and expectations, which can reduce frustrationYou can plan the daily routine and move the cards from there to the now next page as needed.I would have liked more choice for the cards, but this works well for basic communication and seems durable enough to last a while.

Great to help kids express themselves and also make a plan for the day. Has plenty of cards with velcro attachment including what day it is, how their feeling, what the routine for the day will be etc.

More children are being diagnosed with autism and my nephew is one of them. He was a very late speaker and this book with it's PECS diagrams could have helped him massively. Fortunately now aged ten he can communicate verbally when he choses to but their are others at his school who still have language issues and this book is going to be a great teaching aid for them. It's durable which is an important consideration.

This is a very simple yet effective resource for kids who have ASD or those who crave routine. It really helps children express themselves, especially those who are non verbal.The book is spiral bound and comprises of pages with velcro, and you affix little cards to the velcro.The child can express what s/he is feeling, using the emotion cards. You can also create a daily routine, and there's one page that clearly displays what's now, what's next, what's next...etc...The cards and pages are high quality and easy to wipe clean, and the velcro is strong and durable.The pictures are simple yet clear for children to understand and use.I find that when a child sees a daily routine clearly laid out, there are no surprises and much less tantrums and disappointments.This book is small enough to be used throughout the day, it's lightweight too.
