Study smart, not hard
The media could not be loaded. It seems this is aimed at teachers more than home schooling. It recommends you have a large wall space to use this learning kit more efficiently. The more we use it, the more it makes sense. Especially you should keep up the pieces on the wall. This is to help develop the skills and knowledge over time. The kit is designed to teach kids over the year. So it isn’t something you can or should cover over a weekend. It supposed to be taught in stages. You teach set, you encourage the kids to use what they are taught over a few days. When you feel they learnt it. You move on.They provide two templates, word map and word web. I believe this can also be printed out. The instructions is very clear and detailed. It leaves you with everything you need to use this correctly. I personally learnt things I knew but didn’t realise I knew. I look at words differently now. Very valuable lessons to be learnt from this. Very thoughtful and designed well.

Everything you need to build a Morphology Wall Guide 📊
The media could not be loaded. Morphology is the study of words and how they are formed. Morphology analyses parts of words (morphemes), such as root words, base words, prefixes and suffixes.Prefixes and suffixes, base words and root words play a crucial role in phonics, providing children with valuable tools to expand their vocabulary and build a strong foundation in language. By incorporating this wall card set you can support your child’s phonics journey and help them excel in their reading and writing abilities. My almost 5 year old grandson is starting to learn that a prefix is added to the beginning of a base word, while a suffix is added to the end of a base word, both altering the original meaning of the word. For example, the prefix ‘un-‘ in ‘unhappy’ and the suffix ‘-ly’ in ‘slowly.’He's also learning that base words are similar to root words, but they are not exactly the same. A base word is a standalone English word that can also form other words by using prefixes and suffixes - whereas, root words cannot always be used as an independent word. When a prefix or suffix is added to a base word, the word's meaning changes and a new word is formed. Some root words can have words added to change their meaning completely. The product is aimed at the US market due to certain spellings of words and the conclusion is that here in the UK we teach phonics a little differently but we learn the differences between root words and base words, prefixes and suffixes in the same way. This hand2mind Learning Resources Morphology Wall Card Set comes with lots of useful and colour coded word cards and a very helpful instruction booklet.Fantastic product. Great price.I highly recommend it.

Fabulous
This is a really clever idea and they've thought of everything for it. This is brilliant for teaching suffixes and prefixes, as well as base words. You get a whole set of each on some lovely hard wearing, laminated cards, they're connected with a keyring as well which is even better, and they're colour coded too. I like that they even come with magnets (which admittedly you have to stick them on yourself, which is one downside, sadly) so they can stick to the whiteboard. This is a fab idea, it could have been made slightly bigger, but even then you've got yourself something that's great for learning but it's also very visual! So I'm happy with them.

Helpful for home schooling during holidays
This is a really great kit if you're homeschooling or just doing some educational activities during the holidays. Really great reminders for the basics for language and learning to read and write. Well made and good quality and I think an excellent educational tool for parents to help keep up with education at home. Everything's very clear and easy to follow and has been well made. Bright colours and nicely designed too with a good layout. Very pleased with this kit.

Great value
I ordered these off Vine to give to a teacher. She's delighted with them, and said they were really very good. I had a message today to say that she'd been using them in class, and they were really helpful, clearly understood, and made a positive difference to the lesson. 5/5

Learning Resource
I am so impressed with this well thought through educational resource. It has been created in the knowledge that it will hopefully be used by a number of children so the cards are sturdy and the connecting rings easy to use.I am beginning to introduce the idea of morphology to my 6 year old and she discovers language. It is a useful tool to decode words and their meanings. The accompanying booklet gives tips and ideas for teaching and activities to complete.Brilliant product!

Good tool for language instruction
I'm a language teacher and this hand2mind Morphology Wall Card Set is a handy tool to have. Based on current research, I like to use multimodal and metalinguistic methods to teach both first and second languages. This set is a great starting point for such methods. The students can manipulate the different word parts and expand their knowledge of how words are built. The color-coding in this set does not align with the color-coding I currently use for parts of speech, so I will need to figure out a solution for this. If you haven't started using color-coding in your language teaching, this set may be a good way to introduce this in the classroom.

Great tools for teaching morphology
The media could not be loaded. I am a private tutor for students who have dyslexia, and I love to teach my students morphemes to help them build their vocabulary and improve their spelling skills. This set is very practical and hands-on. As you can see from my pictures, there are a LOT of cards in this set. In addition to the ones on the board, there are blank cards, so a teacher can add more morphemes as desired. It comes with a booklet of activity ideas that are multi-sensory and easy to implement. The end of the booklet has graphic organizers that the user can print. The cards are a nice size--small enough to manipulate but large enough to involve gross motor skills, especially if the student works with them on the board. Someone really planned these well. Prefixes end close to the right side of the card while suffixes begin on the left, so when the cards are slid together, it's easier for the student to read the new word. They are color-coded by suffix, prefix, or root, and they can be organized with hoops. However, I chose to laminate mine and then store them in baggies. Even with the laminating paper, though, the magnets were strong enough to hold them to the board--with the exceptions of the header cards. I had to use extra magnets on those cards.Although this product is advertised as being for Kindergarten students, it is also appropriate for much older students. I plan to begin working with a high school student soon, and you better believe I'm going to pull these out for her! That said, it would work even better for older students if there were more bound roots and fewer base words. Of course, an instructor can use the blank cards to add bound roots, but the extra cards are all green, which is a different color from the suffixes, prefixes, and roots. That's a small criticism, though. The only way I think one could find a better set would be to make their own. If, like me, you're not inclined to reinvent the wheel, though, this morphology set is probably a perfect match.

Fantastic resource
This robust tool looks like a standout. It provides SO MANY display cards and helpful instruction. However, these were chosen in hopes to excite the learning of a foster child who (let's just put it this way) has some extra issues that make it difficult to inspire initial interest, since it's not coming from a glossy screen with boisterous, moving characters.Good news is, is that we have 2 younger kiddos who are about into a developmental level that we have indication supporting a based-hope to obtain tremendous value from this set.

Lots of options
In my resource room, we do many different literacy exercises to expand our vocabulary and morphology is a great way to understand roots, prefixes, and suffixes. By identifying the root or base word, and then understanding how the prefix or suffix changes the root word, aids students in decoding and comprehension. This set has a lot of options and can be used in many ways. I like getting my kids up and moving so having the ability to remove the cards and use them as a I wish is a big plus. You can also introduce the cards as you see fit or when the students are ready and this way students do not get overwhelmed see them all on a wall at once. There are rings that hold the cards together in groups, but sticky magnets are also included so you can use them on a magnetic white board. Overall, a great set with great possibilities.
