My Granny's Purse

Such a well made book - the quality of the materials, the drawings and the little movable features are really just lovely. Would be even better if there were a little pop-up aspect, that's the only thing missing. My little boy is 1 and currently prefers pop-ups/lift the flaps, but he's starting to take a bit more notice of this one as he's getting older. In a couple months, when he can pick out fine details more, I think he'll love it. I have Mummy's Bag, the matching book, and gave this one to the grandparents. I think this is great for right up to age 3.

Purchased this to give to my mum from my toddler.They sit together going through it and its adorable.The glasses are the bestest bit!

Nice little carry about book for little one. Children in our household love it. I would have given it 5 stars though if it had all the little quirky additional pieces the old style 'mummy's handbag' had e.g. I nice material hankie would have been nice instead of cardboard one or even cloth handles would have been nice. Not sure these cardboard ones are going to last long. Having said all that, little one is happily playing away with it wearing the included granny's 'cardboard' glasses.

Really useful to take along on journeys or to meals out- keeps them entertained!

I purchased this on behalf of someone else in my family, namely Ada a granddaughter who is a bit young for it yet. I cannot say I have seen it unwrapped for that reason. It does however look very nice and is a toy that will eventually be used a lot, I am sure. For that reason I recommend it.

We bought My granny's Purse as my daughter has the Mummys bag and loves it. I have to say this one isn't as good as the Mummys bag book. There aren't as many pop ups etc on the pages and she got bored easily. She is only 2years so it could just be her. Next day delivery and arrived in perfect condition. If your debating on the 2 books go for the Mummys bag book.

Read the other reviews which commented on the bag not having many items that were removable but decided to buy anyway. Have to say a little disappointed as only one item the glasses could be taken out all other items just printed. It is a lovely idea and my 3 year old really liked it but soon moved on once she realised there weren't move bits to take out and fiddle with, a few cardboard coins, a credit card,bus pass etc to pop away and get out would have prolonged entertainment.

I didn't know what to expect when I ordered this- I based my purchase on other reviews.This is a book, but is way more interactive and 3D. Grannies purse is a wonderful board book, pages tied together with wonderful things to discover. I purchased it for my mum to look at with my son and her other granddaughter and they will love looking at it for years to come. Its a bit of a secret treasure and absolutely the perfect gift, its very special and brilliant value.(It comes boxed in a clear perspex box)Just lovely.
