African Black Soap - 1lb Raw Organic Soap for Acne, Dry Skin, Rashes, Scar Removal, Face & Body Wash - Incredible By Nature

I’m not one to write review, but I feel the need to for other potential buyers with sensitive skin. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR PEOPLE WITH SENSITIVE SKIN. The first use it made my skin feel tight, but by the second use it burned my skin so badly the worse being on this cheek. I did not apply directly on skin as instructed so I rubbed some on a clean washcloth and created a lather to apply to my face. This is very unfortunate because drug store face cleansers are hell for my skin and natural treatments have always worked except for this product. A waste of money.

2020 UPDATE: It’s been 2 years of continued use, and I couldn’t be happier. I haven’t had a new blemish in months and I used to break out every other day. I use it once a daily in the shower, never leaving it on longer than 2 minutes. I use rose water toner and witch hazel as toners aand just moisturize with oil free SPF 30 lotion fromTarget. I use sea salt soap for my nose piercing/when I wash my face outside of the shower. Three days a week I use apricot scrub and the African Black Soap. First photo June 2018, photos 2 and 3: January 2019, and last two photos are November 2020. I know I mentioned a lot in my skin care regimen, however it needs to be noted that consistency is key. With all the stress and uncertainty, my skin has remained clear with a strict routine. Adult acne does not have to ruin your life like it almost ruined mine. Stay safe loves...

After reading a TON of reviews, I was really apprehensive about trying this. I have recently decided to go organic/natural with my skin care routine after suffering from hormonal/cystic acne for the past year. For reference, my skin is normally combination and sensitive, but during this harsh Canadian winters, it's been quite dry.Using African Black Soap was different than anything I had ever used. First, you have to take the bar and cut it into smaller sections. Then mould those pieces into little balls so that there are no sharp or jagged edges. I kept the excess pieces in a large ziploc bag, and the one I'm using in a little tupperware container. Then I wet my hands in warm/cool water, lather with the soap, put the soap back, and then take the lather on my hands and apply to my face. As soon as I'm done lathering, I rinse immediately. DO NOT rinse with hot water or leave on for too long if you have dry and/or sensitive skin.I do find this drying on my skin so I only use it in the evening, with a more gentle cleanser in the morning. But nothing has ever made my skin feel so clean and smooth. There's really nothing like it. Some say it helps with acne scarring, but for me it hasn't. It has really just worked to prevent future breakouts - which was my top priority.For the price, I would recommend you give it a try if you're suffering from acne or poor skin texture/tone.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this product. I have been trying to master a beautiful clear skin regiment for so LONG. I was skeptical. But I just ordered this bar and a container of raw shea butter. When I tell you I have NEVER had absolutely clear skin I HAVENT until now. I almost can't believe it. I BARELY have to wear ANY concealer. I only do because my cheeks get rosey sometimes. This stuff is strong so you only need a small piece, lather in your hands like roll it around and then apply. Don't apply straight to your face because the soap might have shards in it. Then I pat my face dry and apply raw shea butter. A generous layer. And when I wake up if im good to go. Not only is my face absolutely CLEAR I saw immidiate results and my face is even beginning to be all the same tone. I cannot press how amazing this is!!!

This stuff makes my KP go away completely.A tip... Everyone seems to have issues with where to store it so it doesn't get mooshy...I put the slice of mine in an exfoliating pouch from some Asian company (I think Korean), they come in a green/pink pack of 6.Anyway then I can use it without worrying about being scratched from the pieces, and then I hang the pouch over the soap handle where it dries.Anyway that's how I keep it from disintegrating

Know what you are getting yourself INTO. It will be one of the deepest cleans you have ever gotten. If you have sensitive skin then don’t leave it on your face long!! If it burns a little, that’s normal and will go away after repeated use. Don’t expect moisture from the soap but it does it’s job very well. My face is testimony to how well consistent use will SAVE YOU.

Before I start I want to say, I have dry sensitive skin. I rarely break out, the only time I break out is when my period is on, when I use a foundation that irritates my skin, or when I drink too much soda. So Aug 9 is when I received this product. I started using it on that same day. Everything was going well but then 3 days later I recieved a pimple on my nose and on my cheek. I heard that ABS can cause purging, but they said only on your hotspots, but I’m not acne prone so I don’t really get random breakouts. I don’t know if I’m purging or just breaking out....help

I’m a black female that gets hyperpigmentation every time I have a pimple on my cheeks. All I do is cut off chunks and wrapped the rest back up. I started using this daily, plus coconut oil to moisturize afterwards. This has made a huge difference! I don’t breakout nearly as often and the old scars are fading. When I first started using it though I thought it was too strong because it kind of burned/ stung, but it doesn’t anymore and the results are worth it!

Well packaged, arrived fast, less than 48hrs. Works well, lathers up very well, you definitely feel clean and after 1 week use daily i can confirm my skin does look and feel healthier and cleaner that's for sure. Well worth the money, will be buying again for myself and also as a gift for others.

This product is simply amazing- I can't rave about it enough. I've finally found something that works for hyperpigmentation and acne on dark, African skin (been suffering and researching solutions for 15 years!) It's going to take time of course- I'd say at least 6 months in my case- but I can already see changes in my first week. And the product is such good quality you only need a little each time- it's going to last aaageeesss!! Only drawbacks were: being in Australia, I had to pay the, "Oh you're not in the US? Wham!! Here's a massive price hike for you!" price. There also seemed to be an error with delivery, whereby I never got my initial pick up slip, but only the reminder. Meaning I avoided my hard-earned and long-awaited product being sent back just by the skin of my teeth! Oh yes and also that it took a long time to get here. I've ordered from other US-shipping sites like Fishpond, and their products arrive in max 2 weeks...? So I'd like to hear from Amazon on that one. And the 'almost missing my product' thing, which makes me wary of ordering from them again too... It's a lot of expense and effort for me over here in Aus! Inaccessibility of products for my ethnicity. As far as product goes, though, excellent.

I was so excited about this soap, I’ve read countless reviews raving about how revolutionary this was for acne prone skin! Seeing all the natural ingredients made me hopeful for a organic product that didn’t have chemical ingredients I couldn’t even pronounce.I applied it twice a day, and used a gentle hydrating moisturiser with tea tree oil for spot treatment breakouts. It never burned or irritated my skin however, my acne worsened each day I used it. Cystic pimples would appear from under my skin in so many places, small pimples would become inflamed and clogged pores became flesh coloured nodules. I brushed it off thinking it was due to my skin purging and the soap bringing out all the impurities. Hopeful for the purging period to only last a couple weeks - over a month later, my condition never saw any hopes of getting better. I’m so disappointed that this didn’t work for me, my skin wasn’t even that bad before I started using this. I only suffered from a few small breakouts daily and sometimes some cystic ones around the time of my period. But I wanted to find a solution to give me the crystal clear complexion I’d always wanted. This ABS certainly wasn’t my knight in shining armour. Now I have to find a way to undo what this soap has done.
