Good value but...
Whilst not the latest version I bought this Blackvue DR590 2 chl (front and back) because these days you pay a lot extra for features such as wifi, GPS and cloud none of which I value. Bearing that in mind £200 is therefore a decent price for a top brand 2 chl full HD dashcam. Its installed and works well and for the money I am pleased. However I possibly should have done a bit more detailed researched. A nice feature is it distinguishes between an Event (impact), Parking Event (impact or movement) and Normal recording modes however this particular model doesn't protect the Event and Parking files and will simply overwrite them with Normal recordings as the card fills up - this tends to defeat the purpose of the different modes so bear in mind. The capacity of the card (32Gb) supplied is disappointingly small only holding 2hrs 50 minutes worth of recording - have ordered a bigger one so we'll see. I'm still adjusting the settings but if you leave the sensitivity as supplied it will pretty much record all the time in Parking mode with even the slightest tree swaying in a gentle breeze triggering a write file so wind it down in parking mode otherwise it fills the card up in no time.I thought I didn't want / need wifi and I don't however I must admit it is very frustrating not having it when setting up the camera angle and adjusting the settings. I have to take the card out, change the settings on my laptop, put the card back, record something, take the card out, review footage, try again! Same when adjusting the settings. Once set up it wont matter because in practice you only ever review this stuff following a rare incident but it is frustrating during installation. They say you must have their Power magic battery device for parking mode. That is not quite true - you simply need a permanent 12V supply. They say that because it will shut the camera off if the 12v battery starts to drain too much but on a Tesla this isn't a concern because the 12V battery is constantly topped up by the massive 100KWhr main drive battery! Finally whilst the footage is good quality its never (on any camera) quite as good as you were hoping for. Licence plates for example are particularly difficult to capture especially on a car moving towards you - this is common on all cameras in my limited experience however high the resolution but I'm just trying to set your expectations.

It is in German and the SD card does not work.
Not even sure this was a genuine Blackvue product.

Don’t Buy This Rubbish
I bought this dash cam at Halfords and had endless problems with it. The rear camera did not work, the parking feature only works sometimes very unreliable. Front camera video had of my dashboard reflection and the video is is not very clear, if the car in front was just over a car length away you can’t read the number plate, Nextbase dash cams much better, gave this one back and purchased Nextbase.
