I can not wait to give this to my daughter for Christmas. I have used one of these to make myself an herb garden & it turned out so good. My daughter has mentioned wanting to start her own, so…., wa la. Wish granted. EVERYTHING is included down to the pen to write what the herb is on the stick label, that is also supplied. Little shovels, the pots, the seeds & even the dirt. It also has a moisture meter so she’ll know when to water & when not to. This is an amazing little kit that will make a nice, big herb garden. Mine turned out great & I know hers will too. Sone of the seeds need to be stratified, so be sure & read the instructions carefully. Now is a good time to get this kit, so stratification can start & be ready by spring, Great kit especially for the price.

Nice set up and easy to use but the soil that they give you rots and build up mold on the surface. The plant does not do well in that environment. I suggest a different set that you put your own soil in for the plants.

I bought this last spring in order to get a head start on my herbs. It worked as intended and the price was very reasonable for what you get. The little tools are cute, but not especially useful or needed.

This is a really fun activity to do with any kids in your life. There's nothing like playing in dirt and planting seeds and seeing your seeds sprout into plants. Some of the herbs did not germinate at all, even with two tries. I just 8 out of 10 is pretty good. Please know these containers are truly miniscule. It makes them easy to store and watch inside, but read the description so there are no surprises.

I hate giving 1 star but this one really does rate here. The dirt pods didn't not expand well and don't retain moisture. 2/3 of the seeds provided didn't germinate. Instructions were lacking and and inaccurate by contradicting the seed packaging which also contradicted actual planting best practices. The included hydrometer is useless as it's completely inaccurate. Can't recommend this.
