Mutant [DVD]

Used to rent this movie over and over as a kid (well parents rented it for me) as I loved it so much and now to own it on Blu Ray takes me back. It has its flaws, bit for an 80s low budget movie, its great, very underrated in my opinion.

Mutant... a cult classic with cult actors Wings Hauser and Bo Hopkins. Many filmmakers have been influenced by this movie and many have failed miserably. This is from the days when there would be many great films that were made and they are still as good today to watch as they were when originally released. I also like Mutant 2 ...aka The Falling ...aka Alien Predator. Out of the two the Mutant this review is about is the better film. Some have complained Mutant is cheesy, well whatever ...it is in the classic hall of horror fame and it will stay there. Don’t let the opportunity to see this pass you by. Nearly forgot to mention the gorgeous sweetie pie herself Jody Medford. Jody was not acting for long and that is such a shame as her screen presence and beauty are sadly missed. A great film from the mid eighties that has so much more about it than the tripe of today.

Great cult classic. Maybe I love it so much because this one was the first zombie film I've seen, but even when watching it again I still love it. It does keep a nice eerie feeling all through the film, and for that time (not 2002, which was the dvd-release, but 1984), it did actually look quite good.

Not as good as Nightmare at Noon which is by the same director with some of the same actors Wings and Bo.

Felt like a PG rated horror.

An excellent and overlooked 1980's gem of atmospheric horror scifi.Good cast,production values and a really BIG music score make this a must see.It's a shame they don't or can't make horror films like they used to.

Routine horses*** from the USA.- lots of dark scenes with crap acting - American culture at its finest.
