Small, simply designed 1 plug surge protector. Great when you don't want or can't use a power strip surge protector. Love that it does not block the other outlet in a 2 plug outlet, using a straight plug power cord. Has on/off switch to cut the power to the item(s) plugged into it so you don't have to unplug them. Solid green light shows it's working (blinks green when you initially plug into it). Red light to indicate a problem (have seen it that yet). Very snug fit into the wall outlet, and definitely takes a good bit of force to plug the power cord into it. Definitely no worries about it falling out, which is great for using in the ceiling outlet for my garage door opener. (See photo) One note of importance - the actual joule rating for this surge protector is 1,800 joules max and not 900 joules max as shown in the 3rd product photo! When I typed "joule" into the question/answer bot, it said the joule rating was 1800 joules, which conflicted with the 900 joules max product photo. Messaged BSEED for clarification on the joule rating. BSEED promptly responded, apologized for any confusion from the inconsistent information and stated "...maximum surge protection for our products is 1800 joules." I have done some research into what makes a surge protector "good" and whether it actually provides enough protection. Here’s what I learned: 1. for big items that use/draw lots of power (refrigerator, microwave, washer, dryer, etc.), the higher the joule rating, the "better" they are. A surge protector above a 1000 joules is good and 1800 joules is very good. 2. Surge protectors are designed to absorb excess electrical spikes and divert it to the ground via the ground wire. 3. With each electrical surge, the capacity of the surge protector is slightly reduced, so it will eventually need to be replaced. (Hence the value of indicator lights for its operational state). Overall, I am very pleased with this BSEED surge protector. Have had it installed for 1 month now, and have several power hits already. All is well with my garage door opener. Yay! Great little product, at a great price! Definitely a great value.

Great little surge protector.

I bought this to use with my garage door opener. To my surprise the opener would not work with the surge protector in place. I will use it else where in my home

Wonderful safety feature for all these updated appliances and weather related power issues.

After a power surge for the third time my garage door lost its opening and closing limit settings so it would do nothing. Hopefully this device will keep the voltage spikes from erasing the codes. One thing to know is it has a time delay setting which is intended to keep a surge of spikes from harming the device it protects. When you first plug it in, the time delay is active for a short time (90 secs??) You will think the device doesn't work till the green led finally comes on and it powers up (in my case the garage door). I don't know if it works but well worth a try.

I bought these because I live in an area that has lightening storms and quick power outages. I want to protect my appliances from that. The delay is nice because sometimes we have a couple quick off and one before the power stays on. They seems like they will be durable and are a good value.

Me parece muy bien, conecté una lavadora, al principio no encendía, hasta que leí el instructivo, hay que esperar solamente ya que al parecer se "carga" y ya después puedes usarlo, pero hay que esperar cada que lo conectes, excelente producto.
