The Complete Book of Shoes

WOW! Finally, I found a gift that made my daughter THRILLED! .....and I love it, too! We had SO MUCH FUN looking at the amazingly creative, intelligently-designed, fashion-forward, gorgeous shoes! The pictures are huge so you get the full effect of what you are seeing. We have never seen anything like some of the shoes in this book. Some of these designers have the most surprising imaginations. It is well worth every penny I paid for this, and I highly recommend it!

I bought this book in Nov. as a Christmas gift for my daughter, who loves shoes. She paged through it after Christmas and just recently began reading it in detail. Today she discovered that pages 41 through 56 are missing. It is not merely mis-numbered because one designer is incomplete and the introductory page for the next designer is missing. I missed the window for returning it...it never occurred to me that I need to look at every page of every book to be sure it is complete. This is unacceptable in ANY book, but particularly in a large, expensive, coffee-table book. In addition to this obvious mistake, there are a lot of inconsistencies throughout like not listing the designer or shoe name consistently. I will never buy anything by the author Marta Morales again as he/she doesn't put together a well thought out book (although the pictures are great). And I will probably buy fewer books since quality control is so lax.

Liked, however, the book is more like a catalog than for a book! No information about major designers such as André Perugia, for example!

it was the perfect gift for a shoe afficiando. great as a "coffee table" book. artistic expressions are just that -- art.cannot imagine wearing them in any normal circumstances but theatrical venues. Beautiful, magical.

Arrived in excellent condition. Page after page of beautiful photos of fascinating shoes. I gave it to my daughter for a birthday present. It's on her coffee table.

Amazing book. I really would recommend it to anyone who's interested. Well worth the money and you'll get use out of it time and time again.

Crazy shoes. Great to see them but know I could never wear them - too bad.
