I think this is the one
We have tried several backpacks at varying price points over the past seven years or so. This is the best one for cat and human comfort and utility. Our previous fave was a different Petsfit pack, but it had no pockets, which is kind of a pain. This one has great airflow, is super comfy to wear, and has adequate pockets. Sturdy construction too. The only thing I don't love about it is that the top opening is solid, not mesh. We virtually never close it, so that isn't a huge problem, but I would prefer mesh there in case we do have to close it. Anyway, highly recommended.

Just the facts
I have 6 old month male cat. He'd been on short drives before in a hard cage. Took him on a 4 hour drive each way. The ride down was not pleasant. I had him in a harness, which he is used too, with the case in the passenger seat logo facing the roof. He let me know of his displeasure every 5 or 6 seconds. Every radio station had Christmas music on so that may have been a factor. A little over half way I stopped and took him out for a quick stretch and readjusted with the logo facing the windshield. Got better and he slept. He scratched and clawed with all his might at times and I couldn't find a puncture or stressed area. Ride home was great. Took the carrier out an hour or so before leaving. Put the harness on, strapped him in and buckled the case in the passenger seat logo facing the windshield. He seemed comfortable and relaxed and only gave a few what's ups through the drive. Took him on a quick walk getting gas and easily right back into the case. Skipped the Christmas music and putt on Bill Burr's Podcast, so maybe it was freckled lungs that did the trick. Side note, I rented a car for the trip and reserved a midsized car. All they had was a Range Rover with leather interior. No claw marks made it to the leather. I feel I'll get much more use out of this but even if I never use agian was worth it.

Oh, we’re goin’ places.
My cat Olaf likes this backpack and so do I! It’s nice a sturdy and feels comfortable when I’m carrying his big fluffy butt around. Olaf is a Norwegian forest cat so he’s on the bigger side as far as house cats go. This was the only bag that I found that had the “bells and whistles” but could also fit him. 10/10 I would recommend.

Inaccurate description
The description of the item says a chest strap is included. It was not present on the first one ordered which was returned because of this omission. Ordered a second one. Same omission. Photos of the item on the description also show a chest strap. Returning the 2nd one also. A chest strap is needed to keep the shoulder straps in place and keep the pet secure.
