Make sure the cover is on! Perfect replacement for an old Linolite.
I saw a reviewer, on this product, say to make sure the cover/shield is on – otherwise it may not work! They were right with my LinoLite (which is a fairly old fitting). Put the cover on and it's working fine, with old LinoLite light/bracket. Over the moon, as I've not replaced it for years. Interestingly it seems it doesn't get burning hot like the old bulbs either. How times have changed. Plastic outter, not sure how long will last, but works on first installment and gives out plenty of light.

LEDs are just as good but a lot cheaper to run
We have a wall unit that takes tube lights (not fluorescents) but they used to get very hot and didn't seem to last very long. Replacements seemed to be difficult to find and were expensive. I was planning to take the fittings out when I found there was an LED replacement. The LEDs are as bright as before but don't get hot and have lasted ages so far so I am really pleased. I would recommend LEDs wherever you can fit them as they use a fraction of the electricity and so are cheap to run.

Purchased this to replace the incandescant tube light in the ...
UPDATE Nov 2020: The tube started to flicker to the point it turns off. Removed from the housing and cleaned the contacts with alcohol and wire wool, the issue persists. So after 16 months of use, it needs replacing. Purchased this to replace the incandescent tube light in the bathroom. The spec for this LED tube was 3000k with 500L. This tube gives out more visible light than the replaced tube with a whiter light. Found that details when shaving etc....this whiter light show more details than the previous slightly orange tube light and only consuming 4w of power. Hope it lasts as it is LED and 20,000hrs rated.

Bright and cool
I paid £9.99 for this tube, which feels a bit steep. However, it has been working well for a few months now and produces a nice blueish white light. It’s every bit as bright as the 60w strip that it replaced. It’s cool to the touch and very energy efficient.

Good bright light
Bought this as a replacement to an old style bulb for a cubboard under the stairs. Much brighter and more energy efficient and fitted perfectly. Only just installed so no Comment on how long it will last yet. Seems good quality tho.

A Crompton 6W striplight was delivered but it does the job
Disappointed when the light I ordered didn't arrive and had been substituted with a different one (Crompton 6W instead of Bell 4W) , but having fitted it and lived with it for a couple of days perhaps the increased wattage and brightness is actually an advantage, so overall am happy at the end of the day.

Very pleased with the bulb
Very pleased with the bulb. Supposedly equivalent to 30watt bulb, and was replacing a 60watt bulb so was a bit concerned it wouldn't be bright enough. However, it seems brighter than the old bulb. Only time will tell if it lasts as advertised. Had one small hiccup but it wasn't the fault of the bulb. I thought it wasn't working but it seems that shaver lights have a safety feature where the light doesn't work until the cover is put on; I had no idea of this. Might be sensible to put this in the instructions.

Replaced bulb above bathroom mirror
Purchased after the bathroom mirror light gave up. It was relative easy to swap (be careful as the light fitting has a plastic tab which breaks easily) and works very well. It's brighter than the original light however much closer to white than the previous warmer colour. I wish it was more towards yellow as the bathroom would feel nicer.
