What an excellent beginning!!!
An excellent beginning to a new series!!! Very imaginative world building with a MC like I've never witnessed!!!! This story has it all!!! Lots and lots of dark humor, crazy adventures and powerful magic!!!

Decent
Not the best but not bad either. It's a fun book to pass the time with, and the protagonist has a motivation I haven't seen before. There's no really high stakes since the protagonist is op, but that's something I don't really mind.

Very good book
This is a fine fantasy harem adventure novel. It is well written and edited. I especially like the markswoman. I anxiously await the sequel.

I like this author’s other series too, would recommend checking it out as well. But I think this new one is my favorite!

That was awesome!!
Exciting battles, epic foes, burgeoning powerful party members… just a great story all around. Gotta love an opmc who loves to be challenged.

Fun book with authors same issues
I liked the characters and the writing. The problems are entirely predictable with this author. Powers are lame and predictable, nothing either innovative or interesting in their uses. Story itself is predictable with almost no deviation from a hundred others like it.

Not Your Usual Fantasy Hero
A lich who runs a dungeon is bored because he is so powerful that no one has challenged him in centuries, adventurers only venturing to the first few levels of the dungeon. He discovers that the adventuring system is corrupt, eliminating heroes before they can develop into challenging foes. He decides to take things into his own hands. He takes part of his life force and creates a human, but powerful adventurer whose aim is to train a party to the level they can challenge the final boss (himself the lich). Despite the dark theme, there are plenty of jokes and modern cultural references that keep things a bit lighter. His party of lovely lady adventurers grows throughout the book and he finds that he is *fully* functional as a human male, something that is completely unexpected to him. In the course of leveling up his ladies, he invariably runs afoul of the corrupt gang leaders and fights them. While this happening, the human side of him starts to assert itself more and more. Will he evolve from a cold, ruthless monster into a true hero? We shall see, but I am hoping! As far as the s*x goes, like many other books from this author, it is explicit, but still fairly generic and is easily skipped if you don't like that sort of thing. Highly recommended!

Enjoyable
I'm an RPG game (DnD, Pathfinder) and the way it was written made me feel like I was reading a game session, I liked the style it appealed to me.A very enjoyable book, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next one.

So much litRPG fun!
Jay Aury masters that complex blend of comedy, adventure and spice really well. Love his cast of characters and irreverent style of storytelling. Such a great read! 11 out of 10.
