MIRACLE POWDER
This thing is literally a miracle. I’ve used it to clear two separate clogs in my toilet & kitchen sink with ZERO additional hardware necessary. The toilet one was completely still water and I had my reservations. Followed the “tough clogs” instructions with 3 scoops and it actually just worked and flushed the following day. I think I may have needed an additional application of 1 scoop that day and that’s it.Just now it cleared out my kitchen sink clog which is what prompted me to finally get around to writing this. Tried using my “in-sink-erator” grinder and it sounded like a previous clog I had years ago. Had to call a repair technician out that time and he confirmed what the problem was, I thought the motor was dead. Anyway, my current landlord is completely negligent and never wants to handle any issues so I was dreading having to let him know about it. Poured a scoop down the drain, ran a little hot water, and within minutes it started to STINK AWFULLY like sewage throughout the entire house. But I was thrilled about this because it meant it was working and something was happening. After the smell got unbearable for the minimum 15 out of “15-30” minutes I tried using the insinkerator again and… it WORKED. Everything got shredded and the blades were audibly moving with full functionality again. For some reason it now reeks of rotten eggs instead of sewage but I’m a happy camper regardless. I fully stand behind this product. Not sure how the other forms of it work but I’d assume similarly well. And it has a guarantee in any case it doesn’t!

Absolutely useless. Money down the drain.
The good reviews had me optimistic so I ordered this same-day to avoid having to call the plumber out over the weekend. Those upcharges are no joke. This was for a run of the mill toilet clog. No tampons or pads, no excessive toilet paper, just a larger than normal #2.I start with three scoops last night. Pour in the hot water as well, then wait the recommended half hour before flushing, again with hot water. No change. So next, I put it five scoops, pour in more hot water and let it sit overnight - the recommendation on the tub for tough clogs. After about twelve hours, I try flushing again with hot water. The water looks a little less murky? But the toilet still won’t drain. So I try it again. Same routine. I wait three hours this time. Nothing.I’ve finally dumped the last of the powder in the clog. That’s almost $50 literally down the drain that I could’ve saved for the plumber. If it can’t handle “organic material” as promised, I marvel that it could handle anything tougher.

Green Gobbler works
It worked fast, it took around 40 minutes, to unclog my kitchen sink.

Does the job
Had a clogged bath/shower, a lot of hair apparently, as well as other gunk buildupIt took a couple of applications to clear it. I applied it the first two times but it didn't seem to clear the clog, so I applied it one last time and left it overnight, then flushed it out the next morning and it finally cleared.

Use with caution if you have old pipes
The good: My old drains were running slow but not completely clogged, and this product helped them get flowing well again. The bad: the treatment definitely brought up a sewer gas smell.Green Gobbler seems to have gobbled a hole right through my pipe. I have 75 year old cast iron drainage pipes. I wanted something to reduce the buildup that had accumulated in them over the years. I was happy with the results after my first use. Today I used it again for maintenance. Within an hour of using the product, my kitchen sink was leaking out into the kitchen floor. A large hole had corroded through the pipe. It is very likely that bubbling action created by the product agitated and loosened already present corrosion, merely hastening the inevitable. They say it is safe for plumbing and I believed them, but I would be cautious if you have old pipes. If you have newer plumbing, this may work well for you as long as you don’t mind temporary sewer gas smells, thus the three star rating.

Cleared Master Bathroom Sink after years of being clogged
Sink used for shaving and cutting my own hair. Despite me taking care to remove any hair, it obviously got into the drain and clogged it. Though I mainly blame on a heavy creamy shaving cream, not so much the hair.So after years of draino type products I got this and a "wire" with a brush on the end of a 36-inch length. Shoved it down, twirled, pulled out some hair & glop but not enough to justify a clog. Next I poured in hot tap water, two cups of these granules, more hot tap water (following directions), and let it sit. Then more hot tap water after a time. This one attempt worked but the sink soon clogged again within a week. Undeterred, I repeated above steps over 1-2 weeks (not daily, but am very busy so just every once in a while) but stepped it up to 4 cups of granules, longer sit times, and boiling hot water fresh off the stove instead of hot tap water.Voila, fixed for good. Now I just do a maintenance pour weekly (following directions) and I avoid using that particular heavy shaving cream.

You need a plunger for tough clogs !
Worked for a stubborn reoccurring clog in my kitchen sink. I applied it twice for tough clogs , the second time I left it in the sink overnight . The morning after I ran hot water and used a plunger to push the debris through the pipe and that seemed to get rid of the clog completely! It doesn't work with water alone if it's a tough clog . You'll need a ( sink or toilet ) plunger depending on the clog!

Did Not Work
I had high hopes for this product, but unfortunately, it didn’t work at all. I tried multiple rounds, hoping it would at least loosen the clog, but there was no improvement. I usually use a liquid drain cleaner of this brand, and that gets the job done, but this one did nothing, even after letting it sit as directed. I ended up throwing it out and using Drano, which cleared the drain immediately. Disappointed and wouldn’t purchase again.
