Strong thread.
Item being reviewed: Beayuer 96 Yards Waxed Thread Hand Sewing Kit 210D Flat Sewing Waxed Thread with 7 Pcs Leather Repair Needles for Home Upholstery Carpet Leather Canvas Repair and Sewing (7 Needles 3 Thread, Black).Price at time of order / review: £7.99.I ordered this because I like having a good strong thread on hand for little repairs around the house. I normally use carpet thread, but I haven't been able to find any of that recently. This isn't quite as strong as that, but it's a decent substitute. The needles are a good quality. I'm assuming the ring is in place of a thimble. I haven't quite figured out how to use that safely yet though, so I think I'll just stick with my thimble. The seam ripper is tiny and likely to be lost, but I've got a number of those already. I'm curious to see how long the needle threaders last compared to the metal ones I normally get. I'm hoping these last longer seeing as the end of the wire is encased in the plastic.

Perfect Kit
Heavy Duty Sewing Kit.Have always maintained a sewing kit for clothes / fabric etc., but never one for (let's call it) heavier articles. Upholstery, leather, canvas, carpets, tarpaulins etc. This kit is aimed at provide you the tools needed.Contains three reels of waxed thread, selection of needles, an un-picker (seam ripper etc), needle threader x 2, and a finger protector. From my perspective, the needles are really good, great cross selection. The waxed thread appears to be of good quality. The finger protector is good, would have liked to have it slightly larger. The picker is just a generic one. The threaders appear to be a little flimsy for my liking. At the time of this review, £8.99 delivered from my perspective is brilliant. Not expensive, and adding this to my sewing kit certain helps me to cover a larger variety of repairs.5/5

A really useful set
This is a great little set of repair tools for a variety of stiff materials, including leather. The set is quite comprehensive, with a selection of strong needles, a thimble, a needle threader, a stitch ripper and three spools of waxed thread. For repairing broken stitching on moccasins or slippers, leather jackets etc, it is an invaluable addition to the sewing box.The set represents very good value for money, and contains everything you need for running repairs. A very nice little product.

Great Kit
The thread is strong and great for binding things together. I used it on the edges of my quilting and it held it all together wonderfully. It also works well on heavier materials like leather. The kit comes with a needle threader which makes starting the sewing east as well as a multitude of needles meaning there's one for almost everything. This kit is therefore really handy to have around the house and help with any sewing needed.Overall, this is great value and very a very useful necessity to have in the house.

Good value basic repair set.
You get a set of fairly basic needles suitable for a wide variety of materials, a simple thimble that will do the job but be very careful as these ring thimbles can slip all too easily and getting the blunt end of a needle driven hard into a finger or thumb is actually a lot more painful then it is with the sharp end, there are also a couple of quite good threaders, fine stiff wires, nice and long and easy to grip. The three spools of thread are really quite good for a set like this, strong waxed polyester that passes through leather, canvas and even rubber smoothly. It's the kind of set that every home should have, perfect for the occasional repair and a good starting point for getting into bigger more ambitious projects. It would have been nice to see and awl in there too but at £8.99 it's very good value even without one.

Beayer offers various sewing sets. Is this the best for you?
I am not clear if this sewing set from Beayuer is aimed at beginning or experienced sewers. If you click through to their site, you will find many different offers. Another one may be more suitable for you. Do you just need curved needles? Or only one spool of waxed thread? Surely if you are at all experienced you already have a seam ripper (invaluable tool) and / or needle threaders (hardly needed for such large needles as these). All the items in this kit can be bought separately. The thimble is imo fairly useless, too small for my thumb and too big for any of my fingers. It is hard to find open-ended thimbles, and also to find thimbles for thumbs. This one looks pretty but may fail to fit many people. Beayuer do offer Free Returns, so you can check this out for yourself.Three spools of waved thread may be just what you want, or OTT for the one small repair task you have in mind. They will certainly last me a long time. At present I am feeling frustrated by the highly resistant packaging. I have more to do with my time and finger nails than wasting them on fruitless efforts to access my thread.I am delighted to have been introduced to the Beayuer site with its many options, where already I am strongly tempted by a set of ultra sharp (according to reviewers) sewing scissors.
