I bought it and I don’t believe the positive reviews. I am tech savvy and could not get it to work with a PC and Mac (regardless of the set up, cables, etc). Everything works fine without switch, and all worked fine for me with two pcs and the switch. I also could not get it to work with 3 other Macs (new OS and old) also regardless of set up, cables - you name it. Basically, I tested it through and through and after hours of research, testing, double checking, no dice. Good luck to you if you’re buying this product, but my belief is another brand that costs more is probably what is needed if your set up is a Mac and PC. If you just need a PC though, I found it worked fine. I’d give them more stars but they claim it works with a Mac OS in their description and was not my experience.

Was able to plug in my PS5 and Nintendo switch into it and switch off since I am not using both at the same time. It has a nice metal frame and the remote to switch inputs has a long cable making it easy for placement. You can also switch off USB devices as well. Overall great product.

I bought this because I have two laptops that I want to share a keyboard, monitor and mouse. I am not a technical person, but I am good at watching YouTube videos. So after it arrived I watched some videos on how to set up a kvm and here's what I learned. You need 2 usb cables and 2 hdmi cables, plus the keyboard, mouse and montior (with hdmi cable). This product only comes with 2 usb cables, no hdmi cables. So if your monitor already has an hdmi cable, you will need to procure 2 more hdmi cables, because it takes 3 hdmi total.The kvm has a port for PC1 and PC2. So you run a usb and hdmi from computer 1 to PC1. Then you run a usb and hdmi from the second computer to PC2. There is a port labeled HDMI Out and you plug the hdmi cable from your monitor into that one. Then in the front of the kvm there are additional usb slots and you plug your keyboard and mouse into those. There is also a switch button that is obvious where it plugs in. One thing about the switch is you have to really make sure it's plugged in. I thought the switch wasn't working but that was because it wasn't plugged in all the way both at the kvm and at the switch button itself. So you really have to snap it in.Once you've run the 2 usb/hdmi and then plugged in the monitor, keyboard and mouse it just works. You press the button on the switch and the monitor will go back and forth between computers. I've had mine about a week now and am really happy with it. I am taking a star off, though, for the missing hdmi cables that are required. All the videos I watched of kvm's came with the usb and hdmi's required in the box, so I was expecting this to have them too.

I wanted to connect my laptop and my PC to the same monitor I have, and while I already had a switch, this made my life so much easier! My old one had not enough resolution to show on my big 37'' monitor,r while this delivers a crispy, clean image (my monitor is 4K and this switch can deliver amazing 8K quality).Set up was easy and can be done by a non-tech person for sure, and you can be up and running within minutes. No complaints so far, really like the image quality on my screen, and I also tried to connect my 4K 42'' TV and it also provides extremely nice quality pictures. Definitely recommended if you need something to be able to join two sources into one screen.

I am continuously impressed by this little switch.It did take a good 15 minutes or so to untangle all my wires and get them all slotted correctly and it works perfectly. I have a ton of components, some that need to be on both computers and some that need to just be on one or the other and this switch is able to handle that.I love the external switch button, I keep it next to my keyboard and can switch from one computer to the next in under a second. I used to grimace when I tried to switch with my older one as it had a longer lag where the screen would go dark and everything would go silent. This switch is almost instantaneous and if you are listening to audio on PC1 and switch to PC2, if the audio is separate, the audio will continue on PC1 (and vise versa), so this is very helpful.
