Lawrence Of Arabia it isn't, but.............
In popular culture we are battered by countless reality programmes featuring cctv footage to entertain us.This film is shot almost entirely with body-mounted and fixed surveilance cameras. The cinematography is awful; the settings are dark and claustrophobic. After all the plot is about Lee Evans playing a paranoid ex-murder suspect who films himself continuously so that he will have an alibi if ever he is suspected again of a new crime. His living quarters are a cross between an old prison and a disused factory: you would expect rats to share his habitat. But this does help the plot magnificently, and for me made the film interesting and exciting despite the lack of bright colours and 'proper' camerawork.By adding a stunning ending to the film which was unexpected to say the least I would recommend a watch.I did buy it after watching the terrific Rachael Stirling recently on James Martin's Saturday Kitchen Live: she was refreshing, funny, bright and her diction was perfect.I will certainly look out for more of her work as she turned in a marvelous low-key performance here.No subtitles or extras on my copy which is a shame because I would have liked to know about the director's agenda. It's an intriguing production.

Worth Seeing Once
This started off at a fair pace and the first half was quite good, I liked the style, but then it seemed to get a little bogged down, and by the end it had become overly complicated with too many dead bodies. In the space of forty five minutes I'd gone from choosing a place for it on my shelf to realizing I wouldn't need to watch it again. But it's definitely worth seeing once. Good performances from Lee Evans and Sean McGinley.

breathtaking film
If you thrill to a plot with more twists than the best roller coaster, and demand a cast (unlikely as Lee Evans is ) that can rob you of breath whilst you teeter on the edge of your seat ... This film is an ABSOLUTE must... I have now had four copies because when i lend it out, it never comes back .. It IS that good . Definately not made for anyone of delicate tastes, and i would not allow my teens to watch this... it is not raunchy but explores the darker sides of some peoples nature and the unjustices of life ... How it did not recieve the recognition it deserves completely escapes me .... A film buff must .... A thrill and jolt, dark and deep .. Enjoy

Interesting Film
A good performance from Evans and an interesting idea for a film. I have seen it two or three times and bought for my wife, who likes thrillers. If you are able to suspend disbelief, a good thriller.

Not the best film, but not the worst either...
I felt compelled to write because a couple of reviews of this film completely rubbish it. Amazon: how can you use peoples reviews of films when they admit to only having watched half an hour of it, then they turned it off? It is beyond me.Yes, the film does take some time to get going, but stick with it - it certainly isn't the best film I've ever seen, by a long shot, but neither is it the worst. It is a bit silly in places and rather unrealistic, and I wouldn't advise anybody to buy it unless they really liked it, but it's worth renting.

Lee Evans is brilliant as a paranoid character who films his every move
Lee Evans is brilliant as a paranoid character who films his every move. Obviously the technology is outdated by today's standards but this does not matter as the story unfolds. Brilliant and a little bit disturbing. A passionate portrayal by Evans, I ended up sympathising and caring for his character

Be afraid, be very afraid!
This is a realy harrowing story but one that most law-abiding citizens would do well to watch. Lee Evans is excellent in it and his role is a long way from the person we usually see making us laugh on stage. There is little to laugh about in this film.Being filmed in the now-closed Crumlin Road Jail in Belfast makes for an even eerier setting. Watch the film once and them watch it again and observe the prison. All that is missing are the forlorn looks of the hundreds of prisioners that had once been incarcerated in it.An excellent film, I'm giving it five stars.
