This magnifying light has proven to be very useful with nice adaptability. I have been disappointed with durability of switches on this type of lamp before but this one seems to have solved the problem. The switches are nicely tactile and (so far) have worked without fail. The articulated arm works smoothly and stays where you put it! It really helps with detailed work since my aging eyes aren't what they used to be.

I got this for my craft room. I paint, sketch, make jewelry..all kinds of art and I needed a new light. I had one previously that was more like a lamp and sat on my desk taking up precious real estate. That one was old and the light guard was literally crumbling...not to mention when I bent it over to bring it closer it would tumble over. I had not purchased another trying to find an affordable one that would attach to my desk instead of sitting on top. These can run into the hundreds which is outside my budget. I found this one and thought I would give it a try. I'm telling you it's perfect! It has a big looking glass, several shades of light and flexible. It's a great light even if it was at a higher price making it a terrific bargain. I'm so glad I found this and would recommend it if you need a light of this type at a reasonable price.

The magnifier works well, I do not use the light as my workbench light is far brighter, the cord is also quite short so I would need an extension to use it anyway. It's not that big so you'll need to move it when in use or not, as it's not big enough to clamp onto the back of your table or off to the side and swing it around, but moving it isn't a big deal, it's very light. All in all it does the job, I'm happy enough with it.

I tried another brand that had terrible glass, scratched and didn't magnify well. It also had a very week light. I returned it and got this one and man is 10x better. The arms and glass are a little smaller, but the magnification is way superior, and the light is super bright and nice. Diming and color change works great. With one click it illuminates my whole desk and hobby mat. Very, very happy with this product.

This lamp is very nice for the price! Does exactly what I need it to and very easy to assemble and use.
