Josh Wood Colour Icy Blonde Hair Gloss & Care Gift Bag

So I was a bit pessimistic about using a gloss as I didn't think it would actually do much to my already dyed (semi permanent ) Faded black. First impressions were that it looked a bit reddish straight out of the tube. But quickly changed to an ashy black. After rinsing it it felt so soft, the colour is beautiful. It is definitely a really good black. The condition was amazing and my curls came back. I would definitely use this again!

Like my wife, my eldest granddaughter has really long hair that is a deep chestnut brown colour, so when she was stopping over last month she asked grandma if she could use it after seeing it on a shelf in the bathroom. The gloss effect goes on after shampooing and then is applied (wearing gloves) to the hair. It can be applied without help, but my wife did help my granddaughter so that it was evenly spread through her hair. Once it's applied, sit tight for 20+ mins and then rinse through and style as you like. I have to say the effect was quite dramatic. Her hair is normally quite glossy with her usual regime, but this was almost a level above and did look really good. When she came over a week after applying this the effect was still quite stunning despite her having washed it on a daily basis and not really applying anything other than her usual shampoo and conditioner. The set is quite a nice set of hair care products which would work well as a gift for someone and it all comes neatly bagged in an attractive vibrantly coloured tote bag.

My daughter has dark brown hair so she tried the chestnut shade. After (reluctantly) patch testing with no issues she washed her hair and I applied it. There’s gloves included which are decent for the job and as it was quite thick it wasn’t too messy to do. She has fine shoulder length hair so there was plenty enough in the tube with more left for another application at least. After leaving for 20 minutes she rinsed it off and although it doesn’t suggest using conditioner she did anyway. Once dry there was a slight difference in shade but it was noticeably shinier and her hair was really soft. It started fading after about the third or fourth wash but there was still obviously some there. Overall it’s a nice set, would make a lovely gift and she’s looking forward to trying the black another time.

I had quite high hopes for this set, which sadly fell very short. On first impression I was quite impressed- came in a nice tote bag and had included a nice comb. Sadly that’s where being quite impressed stopped. First thing I tried was the product designed for covering greys. Now I don’t have many so thought this would do the trick just fine. It advised 10 minutes for short hair and 20 for medium to long, so I did the full 20 minutes and no difference whatsoever. The conditioning mask was actually quite nice- my hair did feel quite soft afterwards. That was the only included product that I really liked. Final try was the root spray. That didn’t cover any grey and was actually like putting glue on my hair- couldn’t style it afterwards at all. Sadly not a set I would recommend to others. I would have expected something like this for say a £10 set, not the price this is.

This is a wonderful colouring/gloss set, which works incredibly well. The finished result was easily salon quality and lasted a decent amount of time before needing reapplication. This is ideal to help maintain the lustre, colour and shine of a full salon experience, in-between visits, which is really useful. I adore the little tote bag too! Well worth the money!
