Daily lattes made perfect, aromatic, smooth, and consistent
I’ve been using illy Classico whole bean coffee every day with my Breville 881 Touch Impress, and I’m genuinely impressed by how consistently excellent the results are. The beans grind evenly in my machine, and the crema on my lattes comes out rich and velvety every time. The medium roast is perfectly balanced, I can taste the subtle caramel sweetness upfront, followed by the delicate floral hints of orange blossom and jasmine. It’s complex but never overwhelming, making each cup feel like a café-quality experience right at home. I appreciate that these are 100% Arabica and contain no preservatives. The aroma when grinding the beans fills the kitchen, which makes my morning routine feel extra special. I usually adjust the grind size and tamping pressure on my 881 to get the best extraction, and the flavor is always consistent, smooth, slightly sweet, and never bitter. The packaging is sturdy and keeps the beans fresh for longer, which is perfect because I like to stock up during Amazon deals. While I wish the price was slightly lower, the quality more than makes up for it. These beans have become my go-to for lattes, cappuccinos, and even a simple black espresso shot. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, aromatic coffee that works beautifully with home espresso machines.

The only beans I’ll buy
Illy is easily the best espresso I’ve ever had. I was searching for the one bean for such a long time, trying so many disappointing cups of espresso throughout my journey. I’ve had some that were good, but I just knew it wasn’t the one. The first time I tried illy intenso, the very first espresso I made, I KNEW it was the one I’ve been searching for all this time! Since that moment I have not purchased another brand of bean, nor do I ever plan to. Illy is truly my favorite espresso and I honestly have no desire to even try any others, it’s exactly what I want. The intenso is my favorite(I like darker roasts) and surprisingly, like many other dark roasts, it’s not bitter at all. Tho Classico is also good for a lighter roast. It’s a bit pricey, but worth every cent. With that said I’m not thrilled with the recent prices they’ve been selling this coffee for on here lately. It used to be $10-$11 for a can, now they’ve raised to nearly $17 on here. Buying this larger pack is cheaper, equaling to about $14.50 a can, but still higher than usual. There is also no way to reseal the bag. Should keep beans in fridge to fresh longer once opened per illy’s website

Best coffee beans just got better!
Illy coffee is my favorite and I use the whole beans in my superautomatic espresso machine. The medium roast is perfect, mild taste but strong coffee flavor and the beans are not oily so they don't gum up the grinder. Also, these larger bags are a big upgrade over the cans. I like the aesthetic of the cans, but the bags are much easier to store and more economical.

Some of the best
Everyone has their favorites - but be assured that this IS one of the better ones. Smooth, never bitter. Such great flavor and everyone I serve it to in my home always has great compliments

Good Stuff
I have used the Illy coffee on and off for years. It is quality coffee. Just remember it's Italian so it is dark roasted so it has the usual dark notes you would expect meaning NOT bright or fruity. Expect chocolate notes. Bag is well sealed and cauld be resealed. It costs a bit more but is worth it. I use it for Espresso and I think it's better suited for that method though it can be used for drip. Acidity is medium to low.

A Bold, Fairly Smooth Tasting Coffee
The Illy Whole Bean coffee came in great condition, with the seal intact, and didn't have any damage to the can (which is great, because these cans actually make a good crafting item when upcycled) The overall roast is a nice, rich dark brown color that smells amazing and tastes very good, and is worth it for the price! If you use the beans in a regular coffee pot or Keurig, it's definitely smooth compared to your average roast (Folgers, Starbucks, Donut House, etc), but if you use a French press, it comes out absolutely *chefs kiss* smooth and has a very rich, bold taste.
