Camel Artist's Water Color - 20ml Each, 12 Shades

This water color set is great for those who know color mixing as it provides cool and warm primary colors. Which will give wide variety of colors without the need to purchase every color tubes. I compared it with inks and surprisingly they gave wide range specially the cool toned primary colors. The company didn't provide details for paints like it's lightfastness or pigment numbers. The tubes just have transparency and pigment quality info. The opacity and transparency of colors are true to their labels. Almost all colors are non staining which is great for correcting mistakes and lifting technique. These colors won't move much in wet on wet technique to give a loose watercolour effect which can be good for those who want to have control on colors that doesn't bleed in other areas. Some colors (specially blues) have granulation i.e, they will separate when mixed with other colors. I did mixed some purples and I noticed separation on paper as well. Only thing that i wish if they added raw umber or grey instead of black. Overall the tubes are good enough for transferring into pans as they can be easily reactivated with water, i tried that they didn't crack or separate. They don't have chalkey finish like cheap watercolours. It's a great option with low price, since other brands are way more expensive than this set.Tip- u can add a tiny bit of glycerin or honey in paints to enhance the look of finished art work.

I think it will last my lifetime based on my usage.

The quality is amazing! It’s smudge proof, doesn’t leave any cake-y feel on paper. The biggest drawback is that it doesn’t have WHITE COLOR paint :/ that’s disappointing. I didn’t check this earlier assuming black and white are common in every set . You could definitely try this set - artist range are equal to all foreign brands like winsor, Daniel smith. Affordable and good quantity

With Camlin art materials, there is nothing much left to say, as the brand has proved itself over generations! I'm personally thrilled at getting this set of 20 ml watercolour tubes, at an unbelievable price. When compared to foreign brands like Daniel Smith, Winsor and Cotman, Sennelier, Schminke, etc... I feel their astronomical prices are just not worth it. Go for Camlin always, art students! Be Indian, buy Indian, and you will never regret your purchase.
