This worked well for canning and breadmaking. It doesn't add a flavor, but it works as a preservative so your homemade food doesn't go bad within days. It's great for homemade breads which seem to dry out immediately. This is a decent amount of stabilizing agent at a reasonable price.

Gluten free, so it's good for breads.

First of all I love the container this comes in, it looks good, is high quality and easy to use.The product itself does a great job of stabilizing foods, I use it in saucy foods and soup often because I like to make a lot of soup then store it, and this keeps it from going bad before I can finish it.Potassium sorbate is a great additive to have around because it is safe and doesn't cause any known side effects, and really works to keep home made foods fresh longer.This brand is great and it seems very pure, and the container is much nicer than the stuff I get at the grocery store.

I use the potassium sorbate in wine making to stop fermenting and stabilize it so I can bottle it or back-sweeten it. However, 8 ounces is a pretty large sized container when you only use about 1/4 teaspoon at a time! When it arrived I noticed the package had suggestions for all kinds of baked goods to add it to - which got me researching it. Now I've decided to branch out and can use it some of my cheese making and baked good as well as a preservative. 8 ounces is a good amount and will last a long time. Having said what I like about it, I did have concerns that other than the front logo, there is no sticker label with the nutritional information, packaging, etc. It IS on the box... but you have to save the box if you want the manufacturing information, nutritional label, etc. (It's China made and they do list their full address on the box).

Using this for several recipes while canning and making mead this fall. This is a great preservative that doesn’t change the taste of what you’re using it in. I really like the design of the container and how easy it is to use and it keeps the product fresh while storing. This is a nice sized container for the price.

Had an odd taste when I used it and was very clumpy. I didn't end up using it again.

This is great for adding to various homemade food stuffs for mild preservation without altering the taste.

Straight forward Potassium Sorbate for a decent price.The one thing I am not too crazy about is that it is a product of China. Their manufacturing is just not as strict. But if you use it here and there, I guess it will be usable.
