So glad I found this.
I have this on my ring 2 door bell. It is easy to setup and does a great job of keeping my battery charged. I am constantly at 70-80 (by design it does not over charge your battery). The name brand charger may be smaller but you will pay way more for it.

Seems to work well
I had a brand solar charger that stopped working at just under 2 years. It had 3 small panels, left right and top. I ordered this one due to price, desperation and hope.It is quite a bit larger than I anticipated (I hadn't looked at dimensions before ordering). Since I already had one installed, the holes were already there. I removed the old and placed this on, included screws worked well. Somehow the backplate for my ring was missing a screw, two after I lost one when removing it from the old panel. Thankfully, this unit included those small screw I needed. They even had an extra! Perfect for people like me (lots of foliage in the area)My battery was hanging on at 3% when I installed this after sunset. By the following sunset, 57%. My location IS in a high sun spot, but I expected 20's for percentage. After a few days, it's still 57% so I'm assuming it's a combination of rainy weather and poor battery. I'm guessing my battery doesn't hold full charge due to age (4 years of use).We will see what happens at the end of this week, but I'm very happy with it's function. Also, being able to angle the top panel is beneficial!

Large and in "charge"
I had gotten tired of swapping the battery on my doorbell every couple of months so decided to try this out. I saw the other version of this with just the solar panels on the sides and not the top, which does look much better but I had doubts that those small panels could add any significant charge to a battery that takes several hours to charge when connected to wall charger. This one does seem to do the trick. It charged about 2% from my starting level of 72% right away and indirect sunlight. I thought it stopped working when I checked it later while in full sun and it stopped charging at about 76% or so. I then read the details in the ring app that as a battery life protection feature the doorbell will actually slow or stop the charging around 80% so that the battery will have a longer lifespan. The solar panel was working fine, the doorbell was shutting off it's charging capability once it topped out near 80%. So far so good! It seems to work just fine. Now I can enable some of the features I previously turned off because they used too much battery. See the attached photos highlighting the solar panel status. No sun = not connected. Sun and battery = connected but not charging. Sun and lightning bolt battery = connected and solar charging.I will say I wish the large solar panel was able to be oriented at the bottom of the doorbell instead of the top. If you're mounting this on lap siding the arm that holds the upper panel bumps against the ridge of the siding and causes a bit of a gap behind the rest of the unit instead of being flush against the wall.

Great solar Charger for ring doorbell.
I bought this solar charger to avoid buying extra battery and trying to avoid the hassle of charging batteries. The installation was really easy, my. door bell fits perfectly and since day one this has been working perfectly. I have no issue so far, the door bell is always on and the batter always more than 95% charge. I recommend this product is you don't want to buy additional batteries and void wiring your doorbell.

No more swapping out of batteries every two months
Installed QIBOX with my old ring 4 this week. Battery rating was 84% and in two days the reading was 100%. Wow this really works. At first, the insulation intimidate me, but there’s a couple of YouTube videos to help. Actually it was a breeze.

2yrs and it still works in cold -25+ degree winters!
We have had this for over two years now and it still keeps things charged and we have never touched it since day 1z What shocks us is it gets insanely frigid windy temps with a ton of snow near the Canadian border/MN. Why we live here is beyond me but the hubs wont move-so theres that- lol. Anyways…weather here is tri-polar. When winter leaves for the whoppin two months a year it does… it get hot and humid and we can also have 100 degree days with high humidity. Then we get a ton of rain and hail …you get the idea- this is amazing and priced fair. Not sure how anyone has issues with theirs. We tried to wired doorbell, plug in, another battery one- nothing worked besides this.

Charges but not all the way
Love that I don't have to take the camera off of my front door anymore to charge it but it does not fully charge the camera. I've had it for about a month now and it will not charge over 78% with 14 hours of direct sunlight everyday. It gets to 78% and it has stalled out charging it any further. Will keep the product but the solar panels apparently doesn't have enough juice to charge the battery fully so make sure to charge it fully first then install this. Will try to see if that works for me.Update: As of January 15, 2025 this solar charger no longer maintains the battery at the stalled out 78% that it had kept it at. Even with sunlight the last 3 days my camera is now currently dead and has to be removed from the solar charger to keep it operational. Not very happy with this item as it couldn't even fully charge the unit with 14 hours of direct sunlight a day and now can't even keep it charged anymore with the cooler weather and still some sunny days.
