MAINLICHT Aquarium Light for 37"-45 (95cm-115cm) Fish Tank Bright Fish Plant Bracket Lighting with Blue and White LEDs (144 LEDs)

Ok so here's my review on these lights. We ordered 3 of the exact same size (95cm-115cm) to fit our tank, the first light we received, was perfect, no faults or issues. The second light, the switch wasn't assembled properly (switch plate wasn't in properly), so I had to take the plastic switch out of it's housing and use a pair of tweezers to put the plate in properly and reinsert the plastic switch. Once I had completed this it worked flawlessly, though it was a slight slap in the face to notice the big "QC Pass" sticker right next to a faulty switch. The third light that we received today, works fine with not faults. However it is smaller than the other two lights, all being ordered the same, I did not expect this.Just some things to consider.Now onto the actual review:Pros:- Relatively cheap.- Easy Installation (no brainer really).- Good spectrum output (6500k - which is ideal).- Sturdy Housing.Cons:- 25W is quite low, you will need more expensive lights with higher output if you have a large planted aquarium.- Poor QC (Issues mentioned above)- Brackets are pretty poor, there is no stop for them coming out of the housing, making it possible for lights to fall in the water if you are not careful while handling.

10 years ago for £20 you could get a clip on light that would be bright as hell, now everything is LED and you'd think they'd at least be as good, but this lamp is not very bright at all, and the colour quality pretty poor. It's fine for lighting a fish-only tank I guess, but for anything else not worth buying.

Neatly packaged and delivered on time via Amazon Prime.I have a 45cm x 45cm x 45cm (90L/20 Gallon) open top fish tank and so i purchased the smaller option which fits perfectly. It comes as described with extension bracket and three light options.I've left the plastic protection/seal over the light amidst reading previous reviews. A very Bright light. I also noticed it flickered when it was first turned on but a simple switch off and then back on sorted it.Hopefully this proves adequate for plant growth when i begin aquascaping. Will try a second light if this is not so

Love this, it's early days but build quality is Brill for the price. Great brightness down to a depth of 23inches in my tank.

I actually like this light better than the original tank light. I like being able to flip from the bright white, that we use during the day to the blue for evening. Fish seem to be thriving with it, which is really what counts.

Unfortunately the connector on this is not shielded in any way shape or form, and you are reliant upon the light not slipping into the water to keep your fish safe. Ideally this should have a sealed, permanent waterproof connector on, for power and the switch should also be waterproof.Mine has burned out after just a few months, so whilst these are initially good value, they just wont last due to water ingress.

Really simple to fit (although extension rods can come out all the way so doesn’t feel totally secure), bright light and nice blue light.

Very pleased with this light. Excellent value for money. Love the blue "moonlight" setting and main light really bright, highlighting colours in aquarium.
