Perfect!
We bought the lawn tractor new for 2008 mowing. It has a 17.5 hp Briggs. Have rebuilt the deck and the ignition coil was the first thing that went bad causing it to not run. It had a VERY weak spark and was getting gas. The coil tested at the very edge of good, so I replaced it. I cleaned up a touch of surface rust on the flywheel, noted the gap against the coil, then replaced it, setting the gap against the flywheel. Started right up with the new one!

Good replacement for a defective B&S magneto/ignition coil.
Picked this coil up for an older Coleman Powermate generator. Coleman Powermate, Premium Plus Generator, 6250 Max 5000 running, air cleaner label says GenPower 305 10hp OHV. This particular Coleman generator is equipped with a Briggs and Stratton 10hp OHV engine, Model 204412-0136E01.The coil pictured is exactly what I received, but note that this coil looks nothing like the original B&S part. The coil bolts directly up with no issues. After setting the air gap, I plugged everything back in and reassembled the engine. The engine started immediately and ran perfectly. I set the dead idle speed to 1750 rpm and adjusted the half load generator output voltage and frequency. Generator is responding appropriately to instant demand loads and maintained good load control throughout its rated capacity. This particular coil is a fraction of the cost of the original B&S coil it replaces. Its cheap enough in price that I purchased another for a spare to have on hand when needed...cant afford to be down with an emergency related generator.Along the lines of having spare parts on hand for critical equipment, note that this vendor (Anzac) also sells the replacement carburetor for the above engine (B&S PN: 591378), which like the ignition coil described above, looks different from the original, but actually works perfectly. I put the Anzac carburetor on and it was plug and play as well. Started on first pull of the recoil. Now have a spare coil and spare carburetor for this engine if/when needed.

Tight fit for a poulan PP4218AVX
Barely got it to fit. Not shapes like the original so the cover has a hard time fitting back on right at the hand brake. It works just takes a lot of work to figure out how to run the wires.
