The Product manufacturer does not specify it as vegetarian. Apart from the active ingredient Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol), it contains soya bean oil, d- alpha tocopherol, gelatin, glycerin and purified water. Note that it contains "gelatin". Gelatin is a translucent,colourless, flavourless substance derived from collagen obtained from animal skin, tendons, ligaments, bones, commonly from cows and pigs, Gelatin is used as a gelling agent in food, pharmaceutical capsules and vitamin capsules. Thus the nature's velvet vitamin D3 softgel contains animal derived gelatin in its composition and hence cannot be classified as vegan/ vegetarian .

During a special offer, buy 1, get 1 free may be given. This is a discounted price to clear large unsold inventories which could otherwise have to be thrown away if the stocks reach the expiry date. Regular 2 pack is sold at usual selling price without any concession. When these stocks approach expiry date, normal pricing will be converted to buy 1 get 1 free mode to quickly sell off the remaining inventory, which, if sold at the normal rate of sales, would take more time to get sold, by which time some or a large portion of the stock could become date barred or expired and thus cannot be sold at all.
