AmazonBasics External Hard Disk Case, Black

I purchased both AmazonBasics External Hard Disk Case and AmazonBasics Hard Carrying Case for My Passport Essential (Black) during great Indian Sale for 299₹ and 399₹ respectively.Expectations::1.Carrying case for My passport was different than External hard disk case in quality and size as it is 100₹ costlier2.External hard disk case might not be too solid like Hard case for My passport essential as it is 100₹ lesserThe unexpected::1.Both My passport essential and external hard disk case are ablt to hold all my hardddisk (4tb,2tb,1tb,320gb) without any issue2.4TB WD harddisk is thicker and bigger than any other so it wouldnt be possible to put it in external hard disk case.......bt it was not so........it easily snucks inWhat I loved::1.For 299₹ it absolutely a worth product2.Hard case for both the cases are solid and well built3.The AmazonBasics USB 3.0 Cable - A Male to Micro B - 3 Feet (0.9 Meters) - Black is held well within the net compartment4.External hardcase was easily able to hold all HDD of different sizes and shapes easily5.Amazonbasics logo on zip6.The zipper quality is good7.Stitches are also greatWhat I didnt like::1.Only the price for passport hard case being higher than AB external disk case.I have already given return for AB My Passport essential as I dont understand why I need to spend 100₹ extra on product which is smaller in size when i can get same quality product for 299₹.Will wait for next great sale to buy AB external hard disk case again.Update(11/06/17):: I was planning to buy different case which comes under 300₹ but then I saw AB external case for price lesser than 299₹ so I got 2 more for 237₹. It is not unbreakable or anything but it provides good protection. Never had it fall down till now.If you found my review resourceful please click helpful. Thanks in advance.

Perfect one for my passport

TL;DR: Extremely well built case. Pretty expensive though. Buy if on sale.The AmazonBasics External Hard Drive Case is a good little product if you travel quite a bit and want a convenient little package to hold your external hard-drive. However, priced at around ₹700 it's a bit expensive for just a case. I bought it when it was priced at ₹500 and I'm writing this review after using the product for about 3 days.-The first thing you should keep in mind is that the case is not extremely hard ALL AROUND. In reality, the perimeter, or the edges of the case, are hard and thus, provide sufficient drop protection. Moreover the exterior is pretty boring and dull with just black all over and no embossed logo of any sort (except for on the zip).-The zip of the case is pretty nice. It unzips and zips smoothly if done properly.-The inside of the case is a bright orange which is a nice contrast to the black exterior, the left side holds a pouch to store your wire and other tiny items. The right side has a strap that is unsurprisingly of very good quality and is stitched tight to the interior . The strap holds any hard-drive tight. It fits my Seagate 3TB Expansion Hard Drive perfectly.All in all, AmazonBasics has made a really well built case which unfortunately comes with a steep price. It's a must buy for anyone who travels with a hard-drive and is willing to shell out just a little extra.

Overall Purchase: RecommendedMain reason to buy case for me is to protect disk from scratches and to organize USB and disk together. So it's a perfect case of hard disk. I am keeping my WD My Passport hard drive along with USB and few pen drives. I am using this case from last two months so can't comment on durability but everything else is perfect so happy with the purchase.Likes:Quality is good.Looks elegant andI bought it for Rs. 369(including tax and shipping) so seems very reasonable.Zip is quite smooths.Dislikes:Nothing so far.* not waterproof if you are wondering

So this was a perfect fit for me.

I forgot the price, but if I bought it then it must have been at a reasonable rate because I'm poor. But that asides, it's very good. Solid case with decent space. Using to keep my hard disk for 2 years now.

It is indeed a good case for HDD. Material and build quality is great.Inside the case, it would have been better if some cushion was provided so HDD doesn't move. Because of some spacing between HDD and case boundaries, HDD is not completely steady (as HDD does not cover 100% area inside the case but, there remains some space based on form factor of the HDD).Overall very good product.
