Challenging, Intricate and Fun
After spending a few years making kits with lots of cutting and glueing, I decided to give block kits a try. This kit was pricier than others I have purchased, but so worth it. This was very challenging and has lots of intricate details. The sliding doors and roof tiles are my favorite elements. The back wall slides open too, allowing you and others to peek inside at all of your hard work. The wee lights make displaying this tea house even more appealing. Please be patient and take your time. I had a few missteps along the way, but once I put on some good music and slowed down this was really fun to put together. Note: There were 2 tiny pieces missing. Fortunately, I had leftovers from another kit that fit perfectly so no stars off. I hope more Japanese Street View kits are offered soon so that I can create a little city of my own!

Do it
I legitimately love doing these kits and the price is hard to beat. I love how cute the sets look together as well!

Buy them both!
If you are on the fence regarding a purchase, let me help you out by saying, "buy them!" The amount of details and thought that went into both kits are impressive! Between the Baozi and the Tea House, I like the Baozi more simply because I feel it's a little more detailed. However, the Tea House is great, too! There were no missing parts in either kit. Although the Tea House was missing a single piece in Bag #2, but that piece was an extra in Bag #3. I did run into some trouble differentiating the brick colors in the colored instruction booklet (ie. black vs dark grey, tan vs yellow, white vs clear), but it's easy to figure out after studying the booklet and comparing the colors between the pages. Having said that, I did have a few places where I used the wrong color bricks. These are all in hidden areas of the build so I didn't bother correcting them. Altogether, it took me roughly 4-5 hours put each building together. I spent a few hours one evening and finished the following afternoon. Both kits comes with LED light kits, but without instructions on how best to integrate them into the inside of the buildings, I left them out. Lastly, the back wall of the Tea House slides open to reveal the inside details, I used a different stopper piece then the one from the instructions to allow for a bigger opening. Having now built 2 of them, I do wish the manufacturer made more so I can assemble my own little table-top town! They make for a fun display piece in my living room!

Cute but missing pieces
Cute but 2 missing pieces made it a disappointing build. This brand is made in China, smaller than legos, bigger than nano blocks so not much hope we can get the missing pieces. No instructions on light placement either. First photo shows a gap where a 2x6 grey flat piece was missing on the back. Other piece missing was a 1x2 clear flat that is underneath the outer front wall so not really noticeable.

i like this 👍👍
this is a very nice set. mini blocks but easy to build and good overall design. instructions were easy to follow as well. pretty compact so great for display. i use it as a non-load bearing bookend on my manga shelf. it’s pretty when lit up at night as well.

Stick with Lego
Do not waste your money. The pieces are bad quality and the instructions seem almost AI generated, changing placement of bricks from page to page. Overall I was unable to finish the set.

Pieces are all neatly ordered in bags, no need for a messy area
I love this so much, halfway there and easy to read manual

I’ve built half so far. Nice instructions. Good quality. Better than LEGO in diversity of pieces, and great value/price.

The quality is Ok, but the price and design are good! You'll like it after finishing it. It derserve the time you spent for it. Also no any piece is missing.

Missing bricks impossible to contact the manufacturer. Waste of money as set is useless. Other block companies have an infrastructure in place for missing bricks. This is a random, unbranded Chinese block product.

Quite amazing looking when put together. Especially in the dark with the lights. Around 8 inches tall. I put mine on top on of my speaker. Took me about 4 hours to complete, spent one night on it listening to records! Once I got to the roof, I realized I had one missing brown 4X4 flat piece. I had an extra piece close to the same - with no use in the end, so I have come to the conclusion that it was either melted or someone took a bite. I swapped it for a roof piece from the downstairs inside (circled in the last image). Still giving it 5 stars cause it's SO COOL LOOKING!!! Time to build a town
