Excellent analysis of what causes osteoporosis
This book provides a very good analysis of how the body builds bone and maintains bone mass. It is information that anyone should have who wants to maintain or improve their skeletal heath. I would recommend this to anyone with osteoporosis, but also to women who are concerned about bone loss as they age. This is valuable information about bone health that anyone can benefit from knowing.

a lot of good information
I had read many books about the subject, this one has been very helpful to me , easy to read and didn’t offer any products to buy from the writer a lot of information about testing, diet and medication.

Very helpful
I was recently diagnosed with a rare bone degenerative disease, still waiting to hear back from the specialists. Found this book very informative. There is a more recent book by the same author, "Healthy Bones".

Great Info - But Pretty Old at this point
I did not notice that this book was written in 2007... that's really old, since there has been 16 years of Osteoporosis Research done since then. I am sure there are alot of updates on nutrition and pharmaceuticals. I see that this author came out with a new book -in January 2023 = but it is not available on Amazon? Why? There is really good info on the "mechanics" of Osteoporosis, and how the bone is broken down - and built back up in our bodies. I enjoyed the science, but would like updated information on treatment solutions.

BEST BOOK ON SELF HELP FOR OSTEOPOROSIS
I have always prided myself with being fit and eating healthy. I am a pescatarian and exercise faithfully. So when I was diagnosed with osteoporosis at 64, I was shocked. I am 5’7” and weigh about 135 pounds. Small framed. My endocrinology office was pushing very hard for me to go on osteoporosis medication. They never offered any other inclusive or alternative ideas such as diet, exercise, or supplements. I prefer to try to mend my body by giving it the proper things to help it heal. After reading how the many different osteoporosis medications work, I couldn’t figure out how they were helpful to your body long term. So began my journey to figure out how to help my body naturally. This was one of the bests books I read that had helped me start my journey and gave me hope that I can reverse this. If you are looking for the same help I was, I would recommend you order this book and read it twice. Good luck on your journey!

Helping me regain bone density
My functional medicine doctor recommended this book. It goes into why we develop osteoporosis, how to diagnose the actual cause, and then how to fix it. Very thorough and easy to use.
