A little thin but good for repairs
Pretty thin, kind of an odd size. 39 inches instead of the standard 36. But when you need a few shingles, and not an entire bundle, this can make sense. Plus it's hard to find a color that is close to what you have. I got pretty close with these.

Okay for small jobs
Overall for small patch jobs these do the job, I wouldn’t recommend for a whole house, but for re-shingling a shed they are fine.

Nice Quality Roofing Shingles
I was so happy with the roofing shingles the moment I opened them. I love the color red of these shingles that will look great on my chicken coop that I am in the process of staining black. Others have noted that the roofing shingles are thin. I have left over roofing shingles in my garage from a repair on my roof when shingles had blown off from a storm. The shingles I have are pretty standard roofing shingles. I tried to feel if there was a difference in thickness. I personally could not feel any difference in thickness, and I checked several times. I don't have a micrometer, and I know nothing at all about roofing but if these shingles are thinner, it seems to me it can't be by much when it is slight enough to not feel the difference. I attached a photo of the edge of the shingle to try to show the thickness. Unfortunately, the guy I had do my roof repair, tossed the roofing shingles on an outbuilding floor and they are stuck together now, under things as I thought I might as well use them to protect things from the ground once I saw they are ruined. So I wasn't able to easily access them at the moment to put them side by side. Once I get to the project of reorganizing the outbuilding, I hope to provide a photo of the two side by side for comparison.I am new to learning how to put on roofing and this is a great small project to do in order to learn. I am super happy with the roofing shingles, and I am glad I ordered them.

No roofing expertise, but these seem problematic
I have no roofing experience so I've never used anything like this. I thought I could lay them over a degraded space on the all but abandoned, neglected roof of my brownstone (rental) to shield one patch where rain must be seeping in. They come with no instructions (perhaps this is normal for similar products). They have adhesive strips along the center of the back. I assumed exposing this would leave a very sticky surface. It does not. I thought laying them on top of each other would provide enough friction that wind wouldn't blow them apart. Also wrong. So maybe I have to tack them down, and maybe that adhesive strip is just to help in lining them up(?). If so, it seems pointless, if not defective.Anyway, they're thinner than I anticipated, based on the photos. And the color representation isn't accurate either. In the package it looked like they'd sent red instead of tan. In truth, the color is somewhere between the two.I went out on a limb, just to try to fix a problem temporarily. I'll try some duct tape and maybe look into "roofing adhesive", and perhaps figure out a way to get them to stay down. But it was very rainy and windy last night, and some flipped over and almost fell off the roof. Again, not sure if my expectations were realistic, but with no instructions providing guidance, thin, flimsy panels, and colors I couldn't trust, I'm not thinking it's entirely me.

Shed shingles, not normal house shingles
These are not the size nor the thickness of normal shingles. These are called shed shingles - they are thinner (about half as thick), and different dimensions. These are great for sheds, awning, chicken coops, things like that. They get installed like normal shingles, and function the same way, but they are much easier to cut. I like using them for awnings because I can color match the roof color, but they don't weigh very much at all and they're easier to lift and attach. But keep in mind they're not going to be as durable either.

Thin Shingles
This is a small package of asphalt shingles. This is a standard rectangular, plain shingles. That are thin and not really meant for houses. These are cheaper quality that you might find on smaller projects life doghouses and sheds. While these might work somewhat on a house, this probably isn't the best option. The thinness has a benefit in that these are easier to cut than nicer shingles. If you need shingles for a small outdoor project, these would work fine.
