Exactly what I have been looking for!!

My sister started painting them right away. Wonderful product and it came in the cutest bag!!!!

Clearly not actual rocks but these wooden rock shapes are absolutely perfect. The craftsmanship is not something I could have done myself, even with the best wood skills. They are the perfect size for you to be able to be very creative with your paintings and I will be ordering more because I am having way too much creative fun with these. The one singular bonus that the wood "rocks" have over actual painting rocks is the fact that they are wood and way more porous than rock or stone, so it's not always necessary to do a base coat, it leaves you freedom to choose unlike stones where I always have to do a base coat and let it dry before I can actually start doing the painting. These would be great for any craft class, and really for any age as long as they are old enough to hold a paint brush or paint pen. The price is more than reasonable and like I said, I will be purchasing more. I am very impressed with the quality of this wood and the uniformity. The smooth surface on each piece allows for really easy and smooth application. You could also seal these and they would do great outdoors in a flower bed or rock garden! I have done some rock painting and had a lot of fun on natural stone surface but was drawn to these wood "rocks" to try out for a more uniform size and surface. I'm not sure what kind of wood these are but they appear to be a hardwood (looks like oak) and have a nice weight to them. Although they are relatively smooth, the edges do need a light sanding before you can start work. I also used a white primer to maximize adhesion. The result was beautiful, being able to create my design on an even smooth surface that I could easily measure and duplicate designs on standardized sizes. These come in a nice linen bag and are a unique high quality surface. Try these and you may never go back to real rocks!

Wow! These are top notch wooden rocks! They are so smooth and take paint quite well.I got them to use for collage projects and message art gifts. At first I thought I’d like to paint positive messages on them, then leave them around town… they’re just too nice for that. These are great gift-giving rocks for serious art, in my opinion! I will get more!

Very pleased with these rocks for rock painting project. Great size, nice and flat, lightweight and smooth. Rocks are clean and packaged in a nice durable reusable bag. Note theses are wooden rocks. Would highly recommend and would buy again.

I have been wanting to paint rocks for awhile now, so I ordered these as soon as I saw them! I wasn't sure about the wooden rocks, but it is nice for crafts or if you want a perfectly shaped "rock" to paint.I used acrylic paint to paint a couple, and the paint worked great on them. Once painted, you can't really tell it is not a real rock as it's fairly heavy too. Great to practice on. They come with a cute little bag as well, which I like.I painted a flower on one, and painted the other as a pokeball. They are the perfect shape for pokeballs, or mandala type paintings as they are perfectly round.No splinters or sharp/broken pieces of wood on these. They've been sanded well and are smooth. I haven't decided what to do with the rest, but I think pairing these with other sized and shaped rocks could offer limitless ideas to create and paint!Fun to have on hand for a rainy day, craft idea for kids or yourself when you feel like painting or creating something. Much more fun to paint this than on a canvas
