One packet was OK, another was off
We got 2 packets of short-dated jerky and the first one was OK but uninspiring - it lacks the meatiness of beef-based jerky and the issue to me was that it tasted inferior to a vegan 'jerky' that I'd tried recently (the texture of the vegan alternative was better, too - this lacked a certain chewiness).Still, as a relatively healthy snack I'd possibly give it a pass. Went onto the second pack and opening it I thought I noticed a slightly odd smell - I took a bit of this one and immediately spat it out. The taste was foul - clearly not how it's supposed to taste and not how the other one tasted and now I feel slightly nauseous. The packaging hadn't been visibly damaged and was clearly air-tight so there seemed to have been some kind of issue in preparation for it to be spoiled like this. This leaves me with a question as to whether the production standards are safe and I'd never consider buying their jerky again as a result.
