Skins are Good
First time making sausages and as you can see from the pic, they turned out really well. These were the chipolata size casings. The smaller sausages we made into Pigs in Blankets and very tasty they were too. So much nicer than the shop bought variety. Took a bit of fiddling to start getting the skin on the sausage stuffer but once started, easy to put on. I put on too much but still have enough left to make another batch. I'm going to get the standard size casings for bigger sausages once my Kenwood Chef comes back from repair - it blew a seal on the slow speed outlet (think I've overworked it recently). Making the sausages was a two man job. I pushed the meat through, my son guided the meat into the sausages. It was actually fun to do AND we know EXACTLY what's in the sausages. I will say I noticed in the comments some people saying the skins were dried up and unusable. They are not. They appear this way because they are preserved in salt. They need to be soaked overnight in cold water in the fridge then in warm water 30 minutes before using.

Easy to use sheep casings
I've used sheep casing before but found them really difficult to load onto the machine nozzle, resulting in ripped skins and wasted sausages. These come on a hollow plastic tube that just fits onto the end of the nozzle and the skins can simply be slid on using the blue plastic gasket. No holes and a happy sausage maker.

Arrived on time does the job

Great product and customer service
This was our first time making homemade sausages and it was easier than I thought. The fact that these casings are wrapped around a plastic tube makes the whole process a lot easier. I also had to contact them through their website as I had a question about how to store the casings and they replied right away. Excellent casings and I would definitely recommend them to anybody. Will buy them again soon, but next time I'll go for the larger ones.

Too small to fit on sausage maker
The nozzle on my sausage maker is 20 mm and there was no way the casings woukd even get on the nozzle. After 4 hours of soaking, I could not even get my finger inside the opening at the end. If your machine is anything like mine, get a bigger size casing.

Big hit and miss
Second time Iโve ordered this product. First time around it seemed all good the sausage casings worked like a charm. However even than itโs did not seem like 5 meters per package. At the time I read the reviews and did not understand all the negative ones. Second time around however it was a different case. The sheep skins were quite old. Pictured above. The one on the left was ok managed to use about 70% of it the one on the right was just awful. All dried out and even after soaking in water for over 30 hours itโs was just breaking apart and was unusable. It was a big disappointment as we were prepared to make a lot more sausage but had to abandon it as we did not have the proper casing. Needless to say will not be ordering any more of this product as the value for money is not so good and quality lacks .
