I purchased this item in the hopes of toning my neck and chin, as my weight gain recently has left me with a trouble area. After just the first use my chin and neck appeared more toned, and using it for 60 seconds a day for 2 weeks has dramatically changed my appearance! I feel a lot more confident, and I've found that it has made me look younger. The main problem I found was the sensation that it gives, it feels like smalls needles/shocks, which I find okay but my other half said was too painful. However you can change the power level, which was good news for my partner. You receive a bottle of conductive gel with the neck toner which you need to only apply a small dollop onto. I would 100% recommend if you don't mind a tiny bit of pain!

I was very sceptical as to whether this item would work and on reading all the reviews here they seemed quite mixed. I am a great fan of CACI facials, which are fantastic, but whilst I have these regularly I had noticed (at 40+) that my neck had started to age and I didn't liken it at all! I bought this really as a pick-me-up treatment to use between CACI treatments on my neck and, after using it every day for one week, have been mildly impressed with the results and am beginning to see an improvement in the area directly under neath my chin and a general lifting to the jawline.The change, so far, is minimal but I do think with regular, continued use you could get a good result. However, it's worth mentioning that by having regular CACI treatments I already had a head start and my skin responds well to these type of treatments.The negatives I feel I should mention are that the instructions with the product are not detailed enough in terms of how to position the device. It's a bit of a guessing game where exactly you should place the toner to get the best contractions and you do waste time in the beginning trying to find the right spot(s).The controls are very light to the touch and it's easy to click on them in error whist you're repositioning the toner and either switch it off or change the intensity without meaning to.Make sure you have lots of 9v batteries in stock as, if you use this daily, you'll need them and a regular supply of conductive gel!My overall opinion is that this a reasonably priced item that - with regular, continued use - could produce good results, but with anything that tones the muscles if you don't keep it up, the results will be lost.

I bought this in December and it seemed to work fine. Unfortunately I ignored the warnings about failure of the product and battery life. I went away for Christmas and New Year and came back to find it did not work. I bought a new battery and it worked once then failed again immediately. It is useless. It might work for one short session with a new battery and then fails. Even if I were prepared to buy hundreds of batteries for a new one for every session it would be a waste of batteries and more batteries to throw away.

Neck toner is working, it's giving electric shocks. It contracts muscles very strongly when positioned right. Have been using for couple of months and then found out there is two programs.. should have maybe red the instruction booklet more carefully. I started to feel a little vain using this. Thinking now that cringing your face daily has the same effect.

If you workout, you already know the feeling your muscles have when you've worked and toned them. I got that 'toned' feeling after my first use of the machine. And after learning to adjust the intensity (increasing it gradulally over the days), I still get it. It means the muscles genuinely have been worked -- not just zapped or tingled a bit, but genuinely tensed and released. And worked muscles tone up, which is how things look to me and my partner (who is far too truthful and sceptical about machines like this, that he would tell me if he thought I'd just wasted our money).I didn't start out with a heavily jowly or prominently sagging jawline, but I had just lost 3 stone and have about 2 more to go, and I was beginning to notice a looseness to the skin on my face that, being in my mid-40s, was worrying. So I got this to help keep the skin taught and the muscles underneath toned as I continue to lose the weight.And in addition to how good my neck and jaw muscles feel hours after each use, I have begun to notice (after 2 weeks) a firmer appearance. I'm sticking with this, as I do feel it's working beautifully for me. And once I get to goal weight, I'm investing in the Rio overall facial toner (at least, that's what I told my partner to get me for Christmas :) ).

Does it work? Yes, but you have to be consistent in you use. I noticed a difference after a couple of weeks, but then when I didn't use it for a couple of months, my chin looked fuller. That's the same as if you stop exercising and gain weight again, so just as you have to keep your exercise routine up, you need to keep using the toner.I think if you're particularly large you might not see a great effect, but if you're like me, able to lose weight all over EXCEPT for the chin, this tool is magical and works wonders.My only complaints are that I find the gel that comes with a bit watery, and the replacement tubs are quite expensive. Luckily I found (thanks to another reviewer) a cheaper alternative for replacement gel which in my opinion is better than the original gel.
