Really good quality ereader from kobo. I didn't want to be trapped in the Amazon ecosystem, so I bought this ereader instead. It's amazing. Solid build quality, good battery life, and it's very lightweight, so I can easily read books on this in my bed and it doesn't tire my arms or hands.

I switched from kindle to kobo for the exact reason that most other people did. And I gotta say, I couldn’t be happier with my decision! No signing up, no logging in. Just attach the kobo to your laptop with a USB cable, drop your e-books into the kobo folder, and you’re ready to read. When you’re first setting it up, it does ask you to create an account. But you can very easily bypass this. Just google it. I promise you it’s not hard and even someone not very tech savvy could do it. You can absolutely have a privacy focused experience with the kobo. My e-reader needs are very basic. I don’t care in the least about bells and whistles. Which is why this model suits me. The most important thing for me is that I own the books on my device and they won’t just disappear someday. I did think of getting the color version. However, my eyes are not what they used to be so I need all the crispness and clarity i can get. The color versions seemed to be a little grayish and dull compared to the black and white version. Which I believe would have made it harder on my eyes. I watched about fifty videos and the screen on the color ones is indeed duller unless you really crank up the backlight. But then that means your battery depletes faster. On the black and white version, I have the backlight at about 20% and the text looks clear to me. So less charging, more reading. Overall, I’m very happy. This is a fantastic basic model and I am in love. If it turns out it’s not durable or something gets messed up over time, I’ll return and update this review.

I was initially considering the colored Kobo Clara, but I decided to go with the Clara BW—and I’m so glad I did! The display feels more clear, crisp, and soothing for long reading sessions. Everything about this device is just perfect. It’s lightweight, compact, and truly the best option for people who love to carry their library everywhere. The battery life is excellent, and the reading experience is distraction-free. Absolutely satisfied with my purchase!

Here is a detailed review after using it for a month Pros: 1. Handy. Easy to hold. Weightless. Fits in my pocket 2. User friendly interface 3. Lovely to read comics. 4. Battery lasts long 5. Easy to load pdfs and epubs from pc through c type cable. 6. Pleasant on the eyes. Though mixed reviews on contrast. Its really good. 7. Good value for money 8. Adequately water proof 9. Easy to highlight Cons: 1. Hangs quite a bit. Once accidentally set to factory reset 2. 16GB storage just adequate. Runs out soon if storing a lot of comics 3. Kobo plus permits payment only through credit/debit card no upi payment 4. No way to access libby/ overdrive in India.

Loving it ever since I bought it. The build quality can be a touch better but other than that I can't complaint. Using it to read mangas and books. Haven't tried he audiobooks so can't comment on the audio quality. At least you know that your books will stay with you unlike some "other" e-ink readers speaking of which the display is probably the best I've seen and battery is as good as you'd expect. I don't regret buying the b&w version at all, the darks are darker and it gets more dimmer than the coloured version which means easier on the eyes at night.

Ordered a month ago for Rs. 11300, but the delivery never happened due to negligence from the delivery partner "DELHIVERY" (WORST COURIER SERVICE). But I think that was for good. Later got to order after a week for a discounted price of Rs. 8350 with HDFC offer. Great deal. Great Screen - Awesome to read during day & night. You dont need to switch on the brightness on day while a level 2 of brightness is more than enough for the night. Warm light is also awesome. Great Battery Life - You will get a minimum of 1 week battery life. Storage - Added over 300 books, still got 11GB left. Total usable space is about 12.3 GB Lightweight to hold, fits in small hands too very comfortably. Decent UI - not a fast one though, but I guess it's enough for a book reader. Connectivity: Wifi for downloading books & OTA updates Bluetooth for listening to audiobooks Customisation: Installed KoReader for better usability, can use custom images for sleep and power off screen. Installed NickelMenu for more customisation ad Google Drive Support

Looks nice and qualitative

Amazing ereader, the colour highlighting and covers are beautiful. The screen is really crisp in my opinion and I used to have a paper white. Light adjusts by swiping down side of screen is really helpful and on/off button is located on back so it doesn’t always turn off. Being able to connect to the library is exciting. While kobo doesn’t have kindle unlimited they have their own kobo plus and vip membership which I like and enjoy using.

Me ha encantado el Kobo Clara, es perfecto para leer en digital, no pesa mucho, es de un tamaño perfecto para que puedas leer bien y llevarlo a todos lados. Los colores están muy bien, te deja subrayar en varios colores y poner notas, aunque me gustaría que tuviera emoticones. La biblioteca de Kobo no es tan amplia como la de Kindle, pero pocas veces no he encontrado el libro que quiero leer, si quieres un lector digital y no gastar tanto, me parece una excelente opción; además, poco a poco han ido ampliando el catálogo.

It just fits perfectly, magnetic foldable stand is very handy. Color is also nice. The outer cover material is very pleasant to touch, it’s not too glossy, but also not as sticky as modern iPad covers, so it doesn’t gather all the dust. High quality, so really worth the money

Essendo un prodotto originale, la cover aderisce perfettamente e protegge l'eBook dall'esterno. L'unica pecca è l'assenza di altri colori tra cui scegliere per questo tipo di cover, se la si vuole originale, ma non è un problema che incide sull'usabilità della stessa.
