I have heard that Vanish is effective for removing dark marks from a light-coloured carpet. Please has anyone any information to assist me? Jayles

I have done the terrible mistake to use it on a light beige carpet as there was a stubborn stain that wouldnt come out. It kinda spread the stain into a larger spot and left a really light breached looking stain in the middle. I wouldnt use it for anything else other than lau dry

When you bought this and unscrewed the lid, was there a sealed protective foil or similar? Like the one you get on a Pringles tin.

I have bought lots of vanish products from amazon and various bricks and mortar supermarkets, and none of them have a paper seal under the lid.

Will it take urine stains off mattress

Yes it removes it so quickly, I have just used it to to clean and remove a heavily urine stained mattress. It cleaned it so well and removed the stain so quickly. I soaked the mattress cover in the bath with vanish. Instantly I could see a big change, then within a short period of time all the urine stains were gone and the mattress became full white. I hope that helps. You could also use it on the mattress it self without removing the cover. Use a water spray and the vanish together to target the stained area, then move to the whole mattress and after it’s clean dry it with a towel and a fan.
