I ordered these for a wooden toy box I had helped my late grandfather build for me when I was a kid. The shocks in the lid had worn out over the years and with my kids now using it. These were just the right size and power to hold the lid like it was new again. They are a little bit on the strong side as you have to push the lid closed and the weight of the lid doesn't close it on it's own (as the old struts did) but I think after a little time, these will "break in" and work exactly like the old hardware did.Overall, I think these are good and hopefully last a long time. I'll update if/as needed for length of life for these but so far, I'm impressed and they work great.

works great for what I need. Replaced bad shocks on a cabinet door. Was perfect for what I need. Been working a few weeks now and no issues. Love them so far, as described, awesome!
