Works very well!
This tripod mount works perfectly to secure my iPhone 6s to my standard tripod. It is very easy insert or remove the phone with the thumb screw. I am glad it doesn't require any separate tool to attach the phone. So far I have only used it one day, but I am very happy with the build quality and ease of use. I am using a silicone case and it still fits in easily with the case with a little room to spare. There are some small rubber pads on the jaws to keep it from scratching your phone or case. This kit also comes with some additional hardware so if I decide to get a larger phone in the future I can switch out the screws.

Hi Quality Solid Build No Instructions
HIGH QUALITY. No instruction so if you are terrible at putting devices together do not buy this. It's not extremely difficult, but you may need someone to illustrate for you what goes where. With my Iphone 6 Plus in a lifeproof case and it fits EASILY. Solidly built. There are a LOT of these out there with no design concept for longevity. It has a NICE swivel on it which makes for a GREAT way to use it atop a tripod with extra smaller adjustments. GREAT DESIGN. I love it. Worth every cent. Just get someone to put it together for you if you suck at minor device reconstructs with no manual.

... is a very well made tripod adapter and a nice kit, very solid
This is a very well made tripod adapter and a nice kit, very solid...love the mini ball adapter....I wish they would produce this in a way you could mount the phone either vertical or horizontal, if it had that one feature I would give it 5 stars. Probably not fair to ding it a star for not doing something I knew it didn't do when I bought it...but after getting it and thinking about the price, it is one of the most expensive adapters on Amazon, I'm not sure it's worth the extra money over some of the others, but if it had that one feature, I would say it was worth every penny..

It is the rugged beast of smartphone tripod mounts
Bought the kit -- extra parts to make the smartphone tripod mount into the XL version, mini ball head, and the hot shoe adapter. Haven't used the hot shoe adapter or converted to the XL, but the tripod mount is large enough for my Lumia 928 and 929/930/Icon, and is super solid. It is obviously large -- about the only possible improvement I could think of would be to angle off the corners a bit (but not round them off -- let's keep it a bit of manly kit, eh?). Metal threads -- no worries of plastic stripping either. The mini ball head works nicely as well. The whole kit worked out with the Pedco UltraPod for Christmas morning family photos, so cheers there!

Three Stars
Item is of a decent quality, but too spensive for what it is.

THIS THING IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! EVEN MORE! DON'T CHEAP OUT ON A DIFFERENT ONE...
INSANE QUALITY!You can hold any smartphone in here solid as a rock. I attached it to a GoPro pole, and mounted an iPhone 6 in it. I was able to run, jump and pretty much act like a maniac whilst filming with this thing. It is worth every cent, and with this you will NOT need to buy any other mount ever again.Don't cut yourself short and buy a cheaper one to save a bit, this thing is the way to go for anyone serious about smartphone filming in any situation other than a teenage girl lying in bed taking angle selfies she learned about from Instagram accounts she follows.Mmk? Alright. JUST GET IT DONE!

... RetiCAM phone mount several times now and am very pleased with the ease and simplicity
I've had a chance to use the RetiCAM phone mount several times now and am very pleased with the ease and simplicity. Other phone mounts I've had and used were a "spring-clip" type, which had a couple of important draw-backs. The "spring-clip" design required you to mount the camera to the side, or "off-set" from the center of the phone. Because the bulk of the "spring-clip" could interfere with the view of the camera when mounted. Only way around that would be to turn the phone around and have the clip facing you –– thus partially blocking your view while recording. The other important draw-back was the clip design's limited range-of-opening, only good for smaller smart phones; but mostly its poor ability to grip the phone. Being a spring-loaded function, it was just strong enough to hold the phone –– but not strong enough to be bumped and hang on to the phone, not a good choice! The RetiCAM mount's design is unique. It's "low" profile when mounted onto phone does not interfere with the view of the camera, so the phone can be center mounted. And the "clamp" design with the positive screw locking is perfect for getting the needed tightness to hold the phone securely yet not damaging the phone from any unwanted pressure a "spring-loaded" mount would need to do to keep it from slipping out of the mount. Also, the added bonus of the extra set of extension screw and guide-pins for a larger phone was nice. The other accessories allow for optional use with different tripod set-ups. I give it 5 Stars.

Fits Nokia 1520 (6" Screen)
This stand works with my Nokia 1520 and works well. I was initially concerned with the width of the clamp but it fits nicely between the phone's camera button and power switch. With all the extra attachments it's well worth the money. You need to swap out the clamps rods and thumb screw which is very easy to accommodate the larger phones. Very handy and appears to be well made.

Better to have the spindle as you can handle any ...
This kit includes the XL spindle as well as a regular size spindle. Other items are either regular or XL. Better to have the spindle as you can handle any size phone.it also came with a ball head mount which is useful for portrait images.Phone is very sturdy when held with this kit and will not come out. Be careful not to over tighten.Very durable and long lasting and much better than spring mounted contraptions where there is always a risk the phone can pop out of the mount.
