Braun Silk-expert 5 IPL BD 5008 Hair Removal with Face Cleansing Brush, White/Bronze

Had already had a few sessions at a beauty clinic and wanted to complete the rest and thought of trying this at home. It’s quite good so far after a few sessions. Has produced definite hair removal and reduction in growth. Time will tell if it’s permanent which is what laser is supposed to do. There are many competitively priced products on amazon of a similar kind but just chose a reputed company.At first it was fiddly to get to grips with as any product. The instruction booklet could do with more clarity on gliding and pulse function. But definitely works. I’m dark olive skin darkish with thick hair growth.If I’m still on amazon I would write a review in approx 6months!!

I would like the window to be larger. It takes quite long to process entire legs and thus it is hard to keep with the regular schedule. Takes quite long to see the results, but they are there.

Bad product!

This device, as other reviewers state, works! Follow the instructions, it takes 6-8 weeks, and you start seeing the results.But it takes ages. The head is relatively small, and you have to painstakingly and methodically cover every area you want defluffing. My wife found one leg took around 30 minutes, so to do both legs, bikini, armpits is quite time-consuming. To repeatedly do this on a regular basis for 18 to 24 months is quite a commitment!So if you've got the time, and are happy to stick on some music and loose yourself for hours at a time, you will almosty certainly end up with great results. But is it worth the time.....

I'll admit if from the outset – the thought of using one of these things scares me, however I like a (bit of a) challenge so decided to give this a whirl. I had tried a different make some months ago and wasn't impressed, so wanted to see if I could get to grips with this one and get over this seemingly irrational fear.First thing to say – I'm not especially hirsute, but like most women, I don't want to flaunt what I have got and do prefer the look of smooth, unadorned skin. I just happen to think that hairy (female) legs in shorts is not a good look. So, with this in mind I diligently read through all the instructions, even doing a test area first, then returning to do the fully Monty as it were, 48 hours later.Did I happen to mention these things scare me? Yes, I did, and yes, they still do. It doesn't hurt, there isn't a smell of burning hair or flesh, but I don't like the snap, crackle and pop when device meets skin. It's like screwing in a new light bulb when the light is still switched on – that sudden burst of light takes me by surprise and my fist instinct is to snatch my hand away. This has the same effect. In the end I got a friend to do the business for me.After a few weeks of me screwing my eyes shut and gritting my teeth, the results are beginning to show, but honestly – you want honesty, right? I'd rather sue my little battery operated razor, or even go back to a little throw away razor and shaving gel. It's much less fraught with instant results and a heck of a lot cheaper.
