I have an 18-foot diameter above ground pool in central Texas. Due to high heat, intense sunlight, debris from vegetation in the area, as well as frequent use by many people, the pool will turn green in a heartbeat. So far this year, we have managed to keep the water relatively clear but we have been getting algae and other debris deposits on the bottom. This requires vacuuming up on a daily basis, lest the pool "bloom" with an out of control algae situation requiring a lot of $$$ in chemicals to clear up.Unfortunately, while my handheld pool vacuum WAS getting up a lot of the algae and debris each time I used it, it was also sending out out billows of algae/debris through the water exhaust. Those billows would make the pool temporarily cloudy. I'd run the sand filter for a few hours (Usually people would be in the pool at this time), let everything settle overnight, making the water again more or less clear, and then vacuum again at noon. Rinse and repeat. Another issue was that the vacuum's filters (Like a poly-fill material cup) would get debris stuck in it and trying to remove that debris was cutting the life of those filters.I got these pool skimmer socks to address both of those issues. I use two pool skimmer socks at a time - One on the inside of my handheld pool vacuum's poly-fill filter, and one on the outside. The pool skimmer socks were highly effective at stopping most of the billowing. In fact, it was only after vacuuming more than half the pool that I could detect any billowing and it was just a little, comparatively speaking. I solved that by switching to clean pool skimmer socks when I was halfway through. After vacuuming with the pool skimmer socks, the pool water remains crystal clear. All the debris that I previously would have had to pick out of the pool vacuum's poly-fill filter now washes easily out of the pool skimmer socks.I've used the same pool skimmer socks (4 total) for almost a week now. I've been able to wash them clean each time (Just a tiny bit of green is beginning to stain the seams now) and so far, there has NOT been any detectable decrease in their efficacy. I think the packet of 50 pool skimmer socks will last me quite a while.These pool skimmer socks have been an affordable and highly effective game-changer for my pool maintenance routine - I highly recommend this product.

Awesome price, works great on our 24’ in ground pool with two filter baskets. You won’t believe the amount of small material these will remove from your pool water. Even catches the dust and pulls algae out when the summer downpours drop all the pollen and stuff in your pool.

I use these in conjunction with the Cyclone product sold here on Amazon. These are the simplest, cheapest, most effective little pre-filters for my pool pump. They catch tiny debris that normally goes right through the filter baskets into the main pool filter. In my pool it prevents those very tiny particles from somehow making it through the system and back into my pool. They're inexpensive enough to be tossed each time you clean your pool, but I hate waste so I clean them and get several uses out of each one. I recommend trying them!

I love these filter socks, I've had pools all thru my life and just found these, what a difference they make. These really help filter so much out, I'm sure it's prolonging the life of my filter also. So glad I found these, I will never be without them again. The material is fine enough to catch the tiniest silt. They do a great job.

Cottonwood trees and June bugs wreck havoc on my pool during certain times of the year causing me to clean my filter nearly every week. These prevent the little stuff from going through the skimmers. Easy to use and fits well. Only problem is some of the material trapped escapes when pool pump is off.

I got this to use for my pool vacuum, because the bag that came with the vacuum wouldn't hold onto dirt particles and this was recommended by someone I know. And they worked really great for what I used them for. They caught the dirt that my vacuum spit back out and made my pool cleaning a lot faster.

Love these to keep the tiny debris from going into our filter pump. I also use a Betta SE solar powered skimmer along with these socks and my pool is so clean! I change mine out once a week.

I have a 24' above ground pool with a cartridge filter and these skimmer socks are fantastic! Catches alot of debris that otherwise would get to the filter. Less time cleaning that. I'll change out the socks once or twice daily.

Used in Beachcomber hot tub. Much cheaper than the ones they sell. Works great. Seem a little thinner but seem to work just as well.
