After buying the official Aerogarden seed pods and having them fail and AG not back up their product, I gave these a try and they are practically identical. The pots fit with ease right into my system. I actually prefer these and the gold look instead of the green look AG uses. The gold is more reflective as well and the seed does better as they give added reflectivity. If you want some strong plants you need to get as much light on the plants as you can in addition a fan works well to make the plants strong. For the seeds I am using Baker Creek Heirloom and I’m trying ALBINO BULL NOSE peppers, MICRO TOM tomatoes and TENNIS BALL Lettuce. These are dwarfs and do best if you are not transferring them outside. Overall I like this kit. The seeds are well packed and will be a great addition to my outdoor garden. The pods, fertilizer, domes and golden stickers work great for my heirloom seeds. I will be buying from them again and I appreciate the quality of this product.

We are extremely happy with this Heirloom Salad Kit. It is easy to set up with the directions that were included and actually sprouted in two days! The kit includes many seeds for each plant to use at another time. A great value. We have an Aerogarden and up till now have only used their pods but very happy with this kit and such fun to watch the quick growth. I actually contacted their customer service with one question and received an email within hours. Very much recommend this product.

I bought this seed kit to use in my AeroGarden and liked that it came well packaged and ready to install. The pods are compatible and easy to insert; I just added water and nutrients. It comes with several tomato varieties, perfect for having a small harvest at home. I'm still waiting for them to germinate, but I'm confident they'll grow soon. It's ideal for those who want to try hydroponics without the hassle. I recommend it for its convenience and variety.

Be advised that you have to plant the seed within the pod yourself. It is not a system like others where you just add water, nutrients, and a pod into the machine.

I followed the directions but only 1 out of the 6 seeds actually grew.

I used these seed pods in a standard AeroGarden and followed the instructions carefully: installed the pods correctly, added the recommended amount of nutrients, and checked the water level and circulation daily. However, the results were far below expectations. The cilantro never germinated at all. There were no sprouts, even after giving it more time than suggested. The parsley did sprout, but stopped growing after a few days and gradually began to wilt. Growth stalled within the first week despite consistent lighting and proper moisture levels. I also noticed that the grow medium developed a greenish coating, similar to algae. My AeroGarden is clean — I rinsed it thoroughly before use as usual — but the coating appeared by the second week. It has now been about 2.5 weeks, and the outcome is nowhere near what I’ve experienced with other seed kits. This makes me think the issue is likely related to the quality of the seeds or the nutrients included in this set. For now, I can only give 3 stars: the concept is great and the packaging is convenient, but the actual germination and plant health were disappointing.

Seeds sprouted quickly and are growing strong! The mix of red strawberries and pineberries is so fun to watch come up, and they work perfectly in my AeroGarden. Excited to see them produce fruit soon!

Update: What appeared to be parsley went bonkers and eventually revealed itself to be celery. Hmph. Add this to cilantro that never germinated. Oregano that came up as a mystery plant. Thyme that sure doesn’t look like thyme. That makes two successes (dill and parsley) out of six. Certainly not what I expected from a company that prides itself in high-quality, heirloom seeds. The return window closed, but I had mixed luck after carefully following directions to soak seeds, soak starter sponges, etc. The cilantro never germinated and oregano came up as an entirely different plant I do not recognize. Basil is not the most common variety (Genovese) I expected, but it is basil and I intend to use it. The thyme is a larger leaf variety than I’m used to, but it smells great as expected. The dill and flat leaf parsley also seem happy, with the expected look and smell.

Takes a fee weeks, but grows!

Super easy to set up and so far the germination rate has been 100%. Have a beautiful tomato plant growing in my mini aerogarden, and it is growing so quickly!

Seeds are growing nicely into plants. In addition, the kit had useful other parts to hydro grow without shopping for each part separately.

You have to hand pollinate anything that has flowers and turns into a fruit or a vegetable. Total waste of time.

I have only planted 2 of the seeds (radish and pine Berry) and neither of them sprouted. So I’m giving 1 star until I can say with confidence these seeds work. Used in Aerogarden 6 pod system
