Simply amasing! The overall length is perfect for all general pruning tasks and sufficient to cut through 200mm branches with ease. This is high-end professional-grade equipment, just not cheap. You get what you pay for. The locking sheath is exceptionally robust and functional, easily hung on a belt with optional leg strap slots. The handling and whole feel of this saw is wonderful, and should last a lifetime for most gardeners. More extensive use might need a new blade now and again and these are available. Just please be respectful and careful when using. This Silky Zubat Pro is sharp and potentially dangerous.

I am not a frequent reviewer but felt I had to write about this hand saw. Yes, it seems expensive but when I saw the reviews and knew what I needed it for - I took the plunge and have not been at all disappointed. It has the materials and design to make all garden sawing easy and quick - and although it also has the potential to remove human digits and limbs, if used properly it will speed up all those garden lopping/pruning jobs. The blade is designed to only cut when moving one way - pulled towards you - but that is all it needs and it prevents any bending or sticking of it as you try to push. The holster is a real must-use, to prevent unintentional self mutilation, but again is brilliantly designed to keep the saw close and accessible, but safe. I have been using it to this trim down some sizeable damp willow saplings - like the proverbial knife through butter. After use a quick wipe over with oil/WD40 Wear some proper clothing and gloves, and using this tool will speed up and ease your lopping jobs.

An excellent piece of work. Excellent quality, extremely sharp, designed to cut on the pull back stroke making cutting less strenuous and tiring. I can cut all day with it and hardly tire. 6”- 8” logs.. “no problem”. Perfect for our camping trips. Comes with an awesome sheath that won’t drop out when holding it upside down buy the sheath. If you in to cutting wood for fires/whatever, this is the answer.

As an arborist I have used Silky products for many years and they are of the highest quality professional level. They are so sharp and comfortable to use. They stay sharp providing you only cut of the down stroke as it is designed to. Ensure that only wood is cut and avoiding nails and other materials that will ruin the blade. The blade is thin so if you try and cut on the up stroke the blade is likely to bend. Replacement blades are easily put on. Although slightly too big I never the less use it when tree climbing with rope and harness as when pruning it is often quicker to make a branch cut using the Silky rather that starting the chainsaw. It is perfect for ground based cutting. I also have a Silky Hayauchi extending pole saw and that is equally fantastic product.

Very effective saw for a female user who was worried about using a saw for the first time. Feels safe, cuts brilliantly making short work of tough branches. Great safety sheath. Would recommend.

An excellent saw that makes easy work of garden pruning, including felling small trees.

I purchased this upon a personal recommendation, We often - as a fishery owner have to trim trees etc whilst perched 20’ up a tree with a small chainsaw, This was handed to me last time which I had no believe in, however this goes through 8” branches easily whilst perched 15’ up a tree, I’m certain it will also take on thicker branches the only limit is the length of the blade (330mm) or the strength of your arms, The cut is magnificent clean sharp and easy, cutting on the pull rather than the push, which is surprisingly easy, This is so much safer and easier we no longer use the chainsaw for these types of cuts, The saw comes with a handy plastic belt clip saw holder, I’ve used this saw for several months now and it remains as sharp today as the day I purchased it, If your a professional woodsman, gardener, or DIYer this saw is definitely for you, I’m a carpenter by trade so know my saws, I just wish they made hand saws this way, On reflection, I did feel it was a little pricey, however the quality and ease of use definitely fits the cost A wise investment,

Es stand Baumschnitt mehrerer Bäume an, die teilweise noch nie beschnitten wurden. Anstatt mit einer Motorsäge in 3m bis 4m Höhe herumzutanzen, suchte ich nach der besten manuellen Säge für diese Zwecke, weil mir meine Gesundheit lieber ist, als einmal ein paar Euro mehr auszugeben. Ich stieß immer wieder auf dieses Modell und habe mir auch zig Videos angeschaut und war beeindruckt, wie leicht sogar beindicke Äste abgesägt wurden. Als die Säge dann da war, ging es los. Ich habe ca. 150 Schnitte gemacht. Nicht Weichholz, sondern Hartholz: Apfelbaum, Pflaumenbäume, Quitte und Kirsche. Es hat richtig Spaß gemacht, ein Werkzeug zu benutzen, das so gut funktioniert! Das einzig anstrengende war, wenn mal über Kopf sägen musste. Hatte man aber eine gute Position, dann gehen 4cm Durchmesser Äste mit drei Bewegungen durch. Immer auf Zug sägen! Das gebogene Sägeblatt unterstützt einem dabei wunderbar, da beim Zurückschieben nach vorne, das Sägeblatt sich etwas aus dem Schnitt entfernt. Beim Ziehen dann wieder Druck ausüben. Die Länge des Sägeblattes: Ist genau richtig um Äste zu schneiden! Meine Befürchtung war, dass sie zu lang ist. In der Praxis hat die Länge nie gestört. Im Gegenteil, weil sie so lang war, konnte gar ein ca. 20cm Durchmesser Stück getrennt werden. Zwar mit unterschiedlichen Winkelansätzen, es hat aber funttioniert. Schnitt: Der Schnitt ist wunderbar glatt. Achtung, um Einreißen der Rinde am Baum zu vermeiden, wenn schwere Äste geschnitten werden(Verletzung des Baumes), etwas von unten durch die Rinde durch ansägen. Sägt man nun den Hauptteil von oben, bekommt man einen sauberen Schnitt ohne "Reißwunden". Sägeblatt: 10/30 hat sich für meine Zwecke als sehr gut erwiesen. Feiner wäre anstrengender, gröber wäre wahrscheinlich zu grob. Ich habe allerdings keinen Vergleich. Die Nase am Ende des Sägeblattes erwies sich als sehr nützlich. Beim Sägen auf Zug bekommt man so eine Rückmeldung, wann "Schluß" ist. So ist das anschließende Schieben sehr leicht, weil man das Sägeblatt nicht durchgezogen hat und neu ansetzen müsste. Das Sägeblatt ist austauschbar! Scheide: Die Scheide lässt dich am Gürtel besfestigen. Damit ließ es sich auch gut klettern. Auch sehr praktisch: mit einem Klipp kann man Scheide inkl. Säge auch abnehmen. Die andere Seite des Klipp verbleibt am Gürtel. So kann man sie leicht an- und ablegen. Die Scheide hat außerdem eine kleine Rolle an der Öffnung. Lässt man die Säge in/aus die/der Scheide gleiten, dann rollen die Zähne der Säge über die Rolle. Anderfalls würde sie ja kaputt gesägt werden. Es lässt sich schlecht sägen, wenn der Ast wackelt oder nachgibt. Immer festhalten. Nach dem Sägen habe ich die Klinge gesäubert und getrocknet. Bisher kein Rost. Noch was: Für das Sägen hatte ich mir günstige Handschuhe gekauft (ca 3€). Solche Gummierten aus dem Baumarkt. Dadurch liegt die Säge fest in der Hand. Kein Abrutschen. Ich bin begeistert.

No hay madera q se le resista. Que nadie pretenda cortar un árbol con él pero las ramas de un tamaño considerable , seguro.Es el segundo q poseo x q la funda se me estropeó después de muchos años trabajando con él, pero este es mejor xq la funda tiene unos rodillos q hacen q el serrucho no se salga. Los cortes q se hagan son limpios y rápidos y al ser curvo, se hace más fácil el ir y venir del corte.

No he tenido un serrucho de esta calidad en mi vida. Si lo usas bien y lo limpias después de su uso tienes serrucho para años. No es especialmente barato, pero el refrán ya lo dice, si compras barato compras 2 veces.
